Ok, its about as good as its gonna get without me spending any great length of time on it or without sampling skin colors form another photo and manually air brushing it in.

the flash has destroyed most of the boys features so its hard to darken the features because the white wash has overwhelmed everything.

next time, don’t use a flash so close, just turn on a few lights and open a window. I can easily fix an under exposed photo, but one like this needs a reference photo to fill in details such as his nose and facial aspects and skin tone.

for using a flash when doing protrait photography like this, hold a few sheets of tissue paper in front of the flash to defuse it, set iso to around 400 if you can set the iso

I recomend setting the shutter speed to about 20 or 2” in complete darkness, aperture to about f4.


it all depends on the camera having gnarly manual settings though

that single function is so useful I have it hotkeyed on my Wacom Intuos3
