ALL THE CRAP

Bjarne, “moderated” has been appearing quite often now that you have taken an active part in the message board. I am very curious at what you have removed that may have caused offence or broke rules. I assume the posts were available for a short time before they were removed, could you not let them remain for a while longer but moved to an aptly named “moderated posts” part on your site. It is easier to recognise what not to post by example.

Nah, sorry. Most of the stuff I remove I do not want to appear anywhere at all!

Offences that often cause moderation:

<ul>
<li>Extremely abusesive language (a bit bad langauge here and there generally is ok)
<li>Blatant spam/commercial posts
<li>Intentionally impersonating others to make them look bad (this is instant ban reason).
<li>Saying something extremely bad about other people here, something which is clearly NOT deserved (could also be instant ban reason)
</ul>

(Repeat offenders may find themselves banned)

If it is an empty or near empty thread I simply delete the thread in question, rather than “moderate” (If I keep a near empty thread that only contain my “moderated” message, it is because I want the poster to not miss that his post has been moderated)
