They should check the Versus forums. There’s a lot of that in there.

The vs forum and games section can get bad at times. Trolling and insults.

Off topic can get moderately bad as well, though the vs forums have been worse. (Haven’t seen much of the games forums though)

Order has just been shunned as something nobody wants...somebody said stricter rules would be nice and another user said “hell no”.

Then we should at least have a poll for this. Most members get away with breaking some rules that others do not. They would only get a warning, when others would be banned on the spot.

Some members get away mainly because the mods are human. I’m sure when someone slips through the rules and the mods judgment it’s not purposely done. More like an unconscious reaction. It can’t be helped. But differed rules can ease it a bit.

1.) Type in correct sentence structures + use spell checker. Do not type entirely in CAPITAL LETTERS.
Try to use comas and periods when writing more than a few sentences.
Use a spell checker if you constantly miss-spell things.
By following these points, you make your posts understandable for others.

2. ) Do not double post. Don’t post directly after your own post in the hopes of adding something to what you’ve already said. Instead, just edit the post you’ve already made.

3.) Be mature. Do not repeatedly spam or flood the boards with irrelevant, nonsense replies and/or new topics, or flame (insult) someone on the board.

4.) Language. Do not bypass the filter with curse/swear words. Just say “damn” or “crap”. No need for real vulgarity. Editing posts for language will be up to the Moderators discretion.

5.) Do not make “test” posts anywhere besides the test forum:

6.) Advertising Other Sites. You cannot use this site for promotion of other sites. Links in sig, fine. Creating a topic just to advertise a site is not allowed.

7.) Forum Content
Images with Adult content are not allowed.

8.) Spoiling Games, Movies, etc.
Spoiling of the plot or content of video games, movies, shows, etc. must be clearly marked so the reader can skip over or avoid reading the spoiler. If it is not, the person who posted the spoiler will get a ban warning.

9.) Alternate accounts
You are only allowed to use one account. If there are difficulties using only one, you may use another, but ONLY if you inform an administrator of your situation and explain the problems you are having with your original account.

If a user breaks one or more of these rules, he or she will be given a warning, temporary ban or even permanent ban, depending on the situation.

Procedure for Posting Images...General Rules

Rework on the set of rules I posted before (more to fit with “codecians” and MVC)

1.) Be mature. Do not repeatedly spam or flood the boards with irrelevant, nonsense replies and/or new topics, or excessively flame (insult) someone on the board. Excessive swearing is also counted. (definitions of “excessive” flaming or swearing is up to the discretion of the mod)

2.) Advertising
You cannot use this site for promotion of other sites. Links in signatures are alright but creating a topic just for that sole purpose isn’t.

3.) Forum Content
Images with Adult content are not allowed. Perverse comments are to be kept to a minimum. Discussion of illegal activities is not allowed. There is also no mentioning of hacks, cracks, serials, emulators, roms or illegal downloads, or discussion of how to hack into/exploit any part of Moviecodec or any site. Also, posting of other people’s personal information, or bothering someone for personal information, is not allowed.

4.) Spoiling Games, Movies, etc.
Spoilers should be clearly marked and, in a post, should be written between

[color=white][/color]

to hide the spoilers.

5.) Alternate accounts
Bans that are made on one account will go for other accounts, esp. if you continue to break rules. Whether to make these bans longer or shorter is dependant on the moderator and your actions in the second account. (Posting as a guest, as long as you are not breaking rules, is usually exempt unless the first rule broken was an extreme case)

6.) Suicide
Encouraging, posting or asking methods of suicide is not permitted. Death threats are also not allowed and may result in instant bans.

Feedback would be loved, even if it’s just rewording.
