It was a 24 hour ban that is now over. In the future when a mod warns you, don’t go and repeat the same behaviour again.

Well, I never saw this until right now. As you know, from the PM that I just sent you, I was unaware that you would read PRIVATE messages from one member to another. Now that I know MvC is run by Saddam Hussein’s former spies I will be more careful. I’m surprised that you have nothing better to do than snoop into peoples private messages without someone complaining about it. Again, you make accusations without referencing them. You said I was “practically stalking” (which is much different than “actually stalking” them but offer no evidence. I’d like to know who I “pravtically stalked”?

Well, she is a mod firstly, and secondly, she can only really read specific PM’s if she’s given the URL to it, which goes for any mod. Usually that’s for people reporting the message.

Hey you know what my boyfriend introduced me to this site, and we often send each other pms, I don’t appreciate you reading them. We often get down and dirty and thats no ones business but ours. I know I didn’t send them to you. And we both now that Chilly would not have sent them to you. Why would he ban himself?

Listen, I don’t go through and read people’s PMs. I certainly don’t have the time nor the inclination.

However, if a PM is reported to me, as a mod I absolutely have the right to read them.

Both you and Chilly are jumping to some pretty wild conclusions. Read what I said again.

Ok since this seems to be difficult to understand let me break it down:

1. I see Chilly making many very explicit remarks in the forum (which goes against rule #14). This is something I had a (gentle) talk with him about before.

2. He ignores said warning and continues his behaviour.

3. He gets a minor ban.

Firstly, they can’t just choose a member to read their PM’s. They go off a message number system; if you click on a PM message, it’ll say something like http://lounge.moviecodec.com/scripts/pm.php?m=2441694
The number of the message is 2441694
That’s a lot of messages. And, that’s total messages on the site; PM’s, deleted posts, and normal visible posts. PM’s need to have that http://lounge.moviecodec.com/scripts/pm.php?m= part and be a PM or else it won’t be viewable. Deleted messages can’t be viewed.
In other words, it’s hard to find any PM from a specific user.
Even if a mod is able to snoop around in those messages, they likely wouldn’t do anything unless something was said. It’s private, after all, and if no-one complains, there’s no reason to do anything.

*facepalm* Chilly please read the steps. This is going waaay over your head.

You are responsible for what you post. Not anyone else - you. You continued to post (to the forum not PMs...how many times do I have to say this) extremely sexually explicit remarks even though I had warned you twice via PM.

24 hours is a very lenient ban considering that you twice chose to ignore a mod.

Just a little thing...were the messages read before you got the warning? Because it makes sense that, even if you sent them before the warning, she got them later after you were warned and told Etain, which lead into this. (as there isn’t any real way for anybody else to verify when you sent them, only when they were recieved)

EDITA: That’s a possibility.
EDITB: I think I misread, like many others, and thought the offences were through PM’s, when it was the warnings that were through PM’s. >.<

Step 4 you sent me a copy of my PM’s. You are wrong about this ban and you are a liar and shoould be banned yourself.

She should not be banned. Read my post before this for a possible explanation. (inc. the edits)

Well one, I can’t read your lips, it’s the internet.
Two, were they, definitively, recieved prior to the warning, or are you only sure of them being sent prior to the warning?

I read your posts and you are wrong. Read MY posts and understand the facts. I wrote PMs that no one but a moderator could see therefore no one could report me but the person I sent the PMs to. Then Etain sent me a PM warning me about explisit language, then I apologized and stopped then Etaine banned me for the PM’s and even sent me a copy of them.
