Messaging system

It would be cool if we could send people private messages.

It would be interesting, but the problem with that is it is just as simple to send through e-mail. But don’t get me wrong, I would love to have private conversations with some people. However, if so, the conversations must be at a level where there is no dangerous info being released. In that sense, it may not be as private because moderators may (note the “may” ) need to come into them to check them every once in a while.

ergh that can pose problems all over again, you can get people spamming you constantly, unless you can block users from PMing you and it only goes for registered users...
that would be kinda neat but i think it would lag the site processor down a bit and there are enough complaints of slow page load times...
