How to open a file to find out which codecs it requires
Click the 'Select...' button, browse to your file and mark it and click “Open”.
Now two more tabs should be visible.
“Overall” shows overall information about the file: extension, location, size, bitrate and duration. Which video codecs and audio codecs that are required to playback the file is also shown.
“Detailed” shows much more detailed information about each video/audio stream in the file.
