I wish this site had stickers. Kinda like what PS3Forums has.
If you get 10 reps, you get a sticker. 50 reps, another sticker. Make a thread with over 100 posts, sticker. make a thread with over 1,000 posts, sticker.
It’s kinda like an accomplishment thing. And it’s displayed below your online status.
Get 50,000 posts. The Tyrane sticker has been unlocked.

Hijacc told you to stop spamming. In fact, he was going to ban you too. Now I suggest you be quite about it and stop spamming up the feedback section before you’re IP banned too. Do you understand? Mmk? Don’t reply. If you seriously have a problem with being banned then make a complaint thread about it and let everybody tell you you’re wrong.
I do beleive that I have fixed one major performance issue (one particular database operation that was extremely inefficient and that could be used to, basically crash the site, if abused....). Right I have disabled it, but I will enable it again (topic overview on the “posting” page) as soon as I have fixed it.
There is another page that I am also looking to optimize, so I hope to get that done today as well.

Its still lagging a little bit, maybe 5-10 secs.
Could it be due to an increased load on the server...maybe caused by the current influx of animated signatures that most members have this day?
Animated signatures will not cause increased load on the server (as they have nothing to do with the server really), if anything they might lag your PC if it’s very old/slow.

Its not my PC..Its just that the forum has been increasing in its lag of late. trying to pinpoint possible causes.
I wold say over the last month or two there has been a steady increase in lag on the site which has been noticed m most members.

I think it’s the ads.I had4 going at one time.It slowed majorly.
Admins can now:
1) rename regular user accounts (this should be used sparingly!)
2) edit regular users' signatures (ie. if they break the rules by being too big)
3) unlock previously locked/closed topics
As usual, I have complete logging on these actions to track who does what if they are abused.

What about the ability to unban members?
Haven’t decided on this yet. Anyways I think it could cause some trouble, when admins disagree about stuff and ban/unban members.
Mayby I’ed implement a “moderated” unban solution. Where an admin can fill in a form telling me why a member should be unbanned, and than I’ed get these recommendations and react on that.
