Renamed user accounts

To avoid confusion I think that is usefull to keep a post on which users have changed their name, old name and new name as well as the date.

In case you’re wondering. Account renaming is done by me only and by PM request to me. And you have to have a decent reason for wanting to get your name changed.

When PM’ing your request it will be usefull if you include “account rename” as the first two words in your message.

Also note that it may take up to a few weeks for me to respond to account rename requests.

edit: highlighted the point that it is only by PM request to me that you can get your account renamed, I will probably not respond to account rename requests posted openly on the forum.

edit: you are welcome to “renew” you name change request if I dont react on it within say 1 month

You could probably start by looking at that page (may take a few seconds to load).
That’s the guy I told you about last year in pm who added all registered users (up till about 17,000) as friends. You’re likely to find many offensive names in there.

I have been away from like 4 full days, because I was knocked offline at home - and at the same time my harddrive crashed. I’m now back online at home (but will not have substantial time available untill Saturday/Sunday). I’m still using the same computer, just with another harddrive and ubuntu 7 installed instead of Windows.

Regarding finding offending user names, I’ll do some searches directly in the database. There I have complete access and can search in whichever way I wish :-)

The follow up on the name change thing? yes, I’m looking thorugh other PMs now.

Generally, one of the reasons why I’m not always up-to-date on reading PMs is because I kinda prefer not to open PMs unless I know that I got the time to act on them — - so they stay “unread” so I can see how far I’ve come :-)
