Site Sections Suggestion

We should have a section for noobs just to be noobs.

Never been to AC Forums. How is it?

Very dead. As in the entire site went down because the owner couldn’t make payments. The site is now up again, but the forums were never brought back. =(

That’s the reason I became so active on this site. Cause ACF went under.

But it was very epic, very well organized, and virtually troll free. Which was amazing considering it’s 40,000 members, 10,000 posts daily, and 20 or so new members daily. lawls.

But pretty much, if you can go a month back in history on the first page, the section isn’t needed. It’s not big or active enough to require it’s own section.

And the off-topic is going to be revamped anyway; if it’s got a topic (like the sports topics do) it’s probably going to have to stay on topic as if it was in the sports. Wouldn’t be much of a change otherwise, I don’t think.

We’ll talk to Bjarne about allowing members to 'bookmark' important topics.

But simply... If the section isn’t active it needs to go dude. It drags the site down and makes it appear a lot more inactive then it really is. I wouldn’t doubt that moviecodec gets 2000-3000 posts daily. But you wouldn’t be able to tell by looking through the sections.

Movies and Television are much more active then Literature, Politics, School, sports, on-topic, contests/trivia, and arts/creativity. Music and Games are two of the most active sections on the site. And you’re suggesting we put them all into one section?

My suggestions on the first post are there for a reason. I thought them out very well about what would be the best way to get this site into shape.

From what I’ve seen lately,the movies and T.V. has not been alive much for some time now.

More active then the other inactive forums. All the other ones have posts on the front page dating back to Dec, Jan, and Feb. Movies and Television go back to mid March. Thus, it’s more active.

Sorry, I didn’t bother reading anything in the topic so I just posted. While I still figured my idea would be very similar to other’s ideas, I posted it anyways.

I kept literature because I combined Schools/Homework with it. I don’t ever go there so I don’t know if it’s inactive.
