When quoting a post, by default the alignment starts to tab in for each quote used. Bad thing about this is that when you have many many quotes inside a post, it starts to skew the page off badly.
I suggest, which I’ve seen in other forums, is that all quoted text is always left aligned. In the current system, quoted poster is bolded and their text sequentially tabbed to distinguish who said what. However, an alternative method can be used, such as - The name of the quoted person and their posted text is all aligned left.
Then next person’s name and posted text in that quote is also aligned left right under the previous name.
So...what you have is something like this...
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
annalisa

I think they’ve all got good and bad, and might get the Wii just because it’s cheapest for a casual gamer like me.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — -
The overall quote box is all gray, but within it there is a double-line break to distinguish each quote.
When the next person quotes annalisa, the following would occur...
— — — — — — — — — — — — — -
john

Yeah I agree with annalisa too.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — -
The other important aspect here is that a run of quotes quoted like these isolates only what the next person said in the sequence, it doesn’t grab what their quoting as well as what they’re adding.
This way, the overall quoted box remains organized and readable, and one can follow the whole conversation a lot better.

The following posts are an another example of what I mean with this suggestion. I think it would work really well if implemented.

Yes I agree with 'gg', this suggestion would be pretty good and make things a lot easier to follow conversations with a long sequence of quotes inside it.

Well, I just think it would help, and it’s always good when you get people who support an idea you worked on.

Check this linked post out that I edited to show what it would look like.

I like this suggestion and I do agree that this would make it easier to read, so I’m all for it, but I would just like to add something to this suggestion.
I think there should be a limit on the number of posts that can be quoted at any one time. When someone is quoting a number of posts, I think it should be cut off at 10 or so posts. So when someone is quoted as normal and they are quoted, then the next post quotes that and so on, once they reach 10 posts being quoted, the first post that was quoted should be cut off.
I’m not sure if this is easy to implement for Bjarne, but I think it is necessary because I see many quotes that are quoting well over 15 posts and if this new suggestion were taken up upon, it would stretch the page a long way down.

I think that when you quote someone, you should only quote the new information they said, so that there are no quotes that say things from 3 pages ago (see the goku vs. superman thread in games section)

I completely agree agree with this one. The quote system right now becomes really confusing after about 3 posts. This system would work so much better.
