Hi people,
I’m very sorry that I’ve been so -invisible- lately. Been very busy at work, while it the same time there’s been big changes in my personal life.
Anyways, here’s a little topic, where you can, if you wish, post some feedback on the theme changes on the default theme on http://www.moviecodec.com/
Don’t fear though, the new changes will not necessarily come to The Lounge, that is, the theme probably will find it’s way here, but whether or not it should be the default theme is another issue altogether.
Some of the features (improvements as I see it) on the new theme changes is:
* much easier login/logut (from any page)
* easier and more userfriendly pager on topic pages so it’s easier to understand how to go back forth pages within a topic
* contents starts earlier on the page: so slightly less scrolling down
Bjarne

How are we supposed to know if a thread is locked, stickied, or a voting topic without symbols though?

Ah so you are referring to the way topics are shown on the frontpage, yes it is correct it doesn’t show the status on topics. I shall give it some consideration whether that should be changed.

Bjarne, you should make it so we know when your on.
I like it
It looks too plain. Not enough flavor. In all honesty, it’s VERY boring.

The banner should cover the top IMO.
Other words I agree with Cid, no offense.

It’s too bad I decided I wasn’t making a new theme anymore. Too many jackasses here for me to actually care enough to donate my skills to the site nowadays.

James is good at editing pre-existing pictures. I don’t think he’d design a very good website, though you can try. Firewolf would be better if he weren’t so damn busy.

I could put DreamWeaver back on the CPU and write something up in a jiffy.

Hey,
Thank you for the feedback.
I am still working on some layout issues causing trouble in internet explorer (low resolution).
I do agree on the feedback;
1) it is a fairly good layout I think (in terms of useability)
2) still need some tweaking & bug fixing, padding and stuff
3) it IS dull, as you say so:
If anyone can improve it, design-wise or a new logo etc., they are CERTAINLY welcome to try and do so. For www.moviecodec.com, I can actually pay you for your work if I decide to use it(probably can’t for lounge.moviecodec.com).
For logo’s: just mail your suggestions to me, bjarne@sent.com, or post it here or something (but tell me where to find it)
For design / overall look; one way is for you to simply take a screenshot and edit it in your graphics editor of choice. As for sending me such suggestions, you should do so in PNG format (I can’t open photoshop files).

Bjarne, I sent you a lot of PMs. Can you please see if you could read them?

Wouldn’t it be easier on you if we just display page source, drop it into somit like DreamWeaver, stick in whatever fixes are necessary and PM you the resulting code? Or do you want a screen capture of the page to verify what it will look like?

King Boo, and all the others that have PM’ed me, I’ll get to your PM as soon as possible.
The King of MVC, well I’m not sure. I probably don’t wanna use html/css code that you submit, it’s mostly design/looks/logo that I need help with. I can implement necessary html/css etc. from screenshots/images and whatnot (in fact that is what I do for a living).
I updated the theme on www.moviecodec.com:
*Now it uses a much improved layout machanism that ensures that it works properly in all screen widths starting 1024 and up — including internet explorer

Mkay, I’ll see what I can do. Problem is that my computer is in the process of rejecting Photoshop. I put in the CD to install it and the reader can’t seem to find it.
