Really, and honestly, if you need a new administrator for a site because you feel it’s being run like shit, you should think about going to a different site. Moderators are one thing as they can be changed, but replacing the main Admin is basically replacing the site, and you may as well do that yourselves.

This site is WAY too BIG for one Administrator! Any other site this size has at least 2!

With the way you’re telling Bjarne he doesn’t know how to run the site, how he never posts, and how the site needs a new admin, does give off the hint that you want to replace Bjarne.
Either way:
1. There’s still debate over what is best for the site as far as this goes.
2. Trying to find a VERY good, trusted member for that level of position is, obviously, going to be VERY rare considering it’s been fairly hard in the past just to get normal Admins.
3. #2 is assuming that another main Administrator would not need access to the codes of the site and knowledge on how to update the site. It is all custom coding after all.

Anybody with Admin member privileges would have to have access to the coding for the site, otherwise they are just a over-glorified moderator. What makes the Bjarne user so unique is that he can access and manipulate site coding in order to enforce certain rules and things on the site.

I suppose, given enough time, the codes could be simplified for administrators to work, for things like assigning moderators, and I guess would have the authority to make/enhance rules.
Though, I always thought that both were democratic, and the latter was also available to the moderators' hands.

*shrugs* wouldn’t have to simplify it if he stuck me in the position, I actually know how to read and manipulate low level code unlike 95% of the people here.

Only thing is (no offence of course) the trust end of it. Cause we all know you would have to be a VERY trustworthy person (practically an angel, I’d take a wager at) in order to get there.
I don’t doubt you have the know-how at all, but some of the other stuff I am kind of leary about. It’s REALLY rare to find both those kinds of qualities, the ideal personality with computer knowledge of your and Bjarne’s calibre.
Though, at the same time, they’re out there o’course. Prolly just not on here. lol

What may actually be a boon for me is the fact that recently there has been a drop in the number of Computer Science major’s world wide due to increased requirements (Going from requiring knowledge of Basic Algebra, to knowledge of Calculous I,II and III along with Linear Algebra and Probability/Statistics.)

Not only are more and more jobs going to be opening up when companies finally catch up to the digital age, but there are less people competing for the jobs, so I’m going to be making a hell of an impressive salary. So Mr. Lawyer, when machines start entering into hospitals and taking over all surgeries and all court cases are fought over digital evidence provided by a worldwide network of machines, where will that plant you? Oh that’s right, into the shithole you seem to think I’m going into.

Your talking about a future (which is similar to most Si-Fi movies mind you) in which computers are able to self replicate and you really think they wouldn’t be able to diagnose problems with the same accuracy as a human? If they are able to find and fix errors in there own 'code' then why would they not be able to 'find' (diagnose) and 'fix' (cure) 'errors' (diseases) in humans? As for lawyers, what’s better in a court case than a machine which is smart enough to, as you put it, evolve over the course of the trial, adapting to any sort of argument made by it’s opponent utilizing the resources provided to it (Enter Internet vs. a human’s pathetic knowledge of whatever they remember from college/in practice). Realistically, the future your talking about would eliminate EVERY job, not just mine.
