Based on the ending of Dirge of Ceberus, where Genesis is shown I think that they didnt just shown to promote his appearence in Crisis Core... Is it possible that Square will make one last FF7 game that has to do with Genesis... say... try to kill Cloud cuz he has Jenova Cell and they threaten the planet? Also Sephiroth is still around apperently... so they could do something about that (hopefully without PIS/CIS and acctually seeing him at his fullest...)

Also in the special features of FF7ACC there was a part where they showed they full timeline of FF7 and when they showed DOC it had a title of “Current Story”... maybe that hints it aswell...

Obvioously nothing has been announced yet but thats prolly cuz they have a shit load of games they are/were working on (such as FNC series, Neir, Dissidia, etc) to have time to announce it or even look over it... still possible though...

I’m pretty sure SE will do at least one more FF7 sequel with Genesis and probably a remake before they close out the series for good.

Sephiroth will be in it somehow. He always finds a way in to things.

It’s also over a decade old.

Why now.

There are lots of spin off games, like Crisis Core that came out last year.

Make that 3 cell phone games: Before Crisis, Snowboarding, and a game about Aries and her journey to the lifestream! XD

Yeah, I just wikipedia’d it

FF7 snowboarding?

The ridiculous part is that it’s all based on just one game in the entire series.

Actually that’d be a more fair comparison if every part of the Pokemon franchise was based off of, say, Gold and Silver. At least when Pokemon milks its cash cow they keep it relevant.

That’s in the original game as a mini game.

Oh. That’s at least slightly less retarded.

Still, the timing of like, maybe 5 or more posts in the past two or 3 days about a game that came out 12 years ago is really weird.

The remake would be nice, but it isnt a “NEED IT NOW!" type of thing...
