you know what? I was thinking the same thing. It’s an amusing concept.
You live in a world, created by data. Think ReBoot. The Hero of the Story, a digital form of Link, is nothing but a farm boy (like always )
He’s fine living in his digitally created world, the only problem is that nobody knows that they’re just data and not real. So when one of the villagers suddenly disappear (probably one of Link’s closest friends) the young hero sets out on a journey to find him/her.
This leads him straight into the lair of the evil Ganon, who’s discovered the secret of their world, he re-programs himself into a virus, and as a result begins literately deleting the people of Hyrule while at the same time, corrupting it with his virusness (ala Dark World)

That came right out of my head, so no. It’s not real. I would so play it though, there’s an idea to send Nintendo thought.
I wasn’t talkin' 'bout what you said, but obviously, they’ll need Ganon in there. Since its online, it needs some cool bosses to fight, like Vaati and Majora’s Mask.
