Assassin's Creed II Speculations **SPOILERS GUARENTEED**

Having finished the game, collecting and solving all of the truth puzzles, and spending a very long time thinking about it, I have come up with several theories concerning the implications of the ending, truth video and puzzles themeslves.

Altiar, Ezio, Desmond and all of their ancestors leading back to Adam and Eve, are not human, but a hybrid between humans and “those who came before”.

The Templars intend to put a POE in orbit to brainwash mankind.

Altiar may have used his POE to extend his life.

Why would a single POE brainwash entire humanity? A POE was in space once, you idiot.

Altair MAY have used, yes he may, and that may explain him being Ezio’s great great grandfather when he was born in the 1000s.

I say hybrids for two main reasons:
1: Altiar and Ezio are demonstratebly immune to domination by POE’s. One of the puzzles hints at humans have neurotransmitters designed specifically to recieve orders from the things.
2: The puzzle Bloodlines has images of gods mating with mortals, and ends “Behold the Assassins, Children of two worlds!" “Those who came before” were taken for gods, and the puzzle suggests that the assassins may have come about through said “gods” mating with humans.
