Battlefield 2 Help

I just bought and installed Battlefield 2 for PC (Deluxe Edition) today and the instalation went perfectly.

But when I click on the shortcut on my desktop nothing happens. I went on to the EA file and clicked auto run on there and same result. X-Fire refuses to show it’s servers as well (for any game infact)

WHAT IS GOING ON???

firewall...disable it...plus disconnect any routers and just direct connect

Also ensure you have punkbuster enabled.

I have punkbuster enabled and I turned of my Virus protector. I will try getting rid of my firewall (not like I want to)...

Alright that worked... Kinda... Now I get past the opening movie and THEN it freezes... Gawd Dahmit.

WTF i thought you couldnt load up the game servera

I couldnt load up the game before but when I took down firewall I could get as far as the menu then she freezes

Ok and now it only has a black screen for 3 seconds then I get booted back to windows.

This sucks nuts haha.

It can. I checked all the specs on EAsy info and they all pass

Im going to download 1.41 and see if that makes any difference.

Argh this is pissing me off so much :'(
