Best video game weapon ever.

BFG 9000 all the way. Eat my green blobs of destructive stuff.

I would say the Master Sword for the Legend of Zelda series. It was the ultimate weapon for vanquishing evil.

Its hard to decide between the Tau Cannon, the BFG9000, and Samus' arm cannon.

Or maybe the Chaos Emeralds from the Sonic series. Those things kicked ass.

The Sword of Seals owns. So does the Screw Attack, and the Hydra Jet, and an X Wing, and Ed’s uber spear, and what not.

Best long range weapon = Tau Cannon

best short range = screw attack
best mid range = arm cannon
best long range = tau cannon

i would still carry a forcelance around instead of a tau cannon.

First off, the tau cannon originated in half-life. The tau cannon is a powerful, but portable, weapon. It is energy based and fires beams which travel at the speed of light. And it always has perfect accuracy. It has two firing functions. The primary is small, quick bursts that consume 2 units of energy for each shot. Secondary is a charge beam. This can go through walls, the thickness it can penetrate is directly proportional to the amount of time it is charged. When it goes through a wall, the immedite area of the beams exit will be affected with 200 points of damge. When the area affect is combined with a direct hit from the beam through the wall, the tau cannon has the potential to cause up to 1600 points of damage depending on how long it has been charged. (Note: all damage is based on half-life damage)
