Bioshock demo

It’s hard to say whether it was crap or amazing.
The reason is because half the time the graphics looked better than almost every game currently out and the other half of the time the graphics looked like complete crap. It was amazing and then it was crap.
The shooting controls needed to be a little more fine tuned but it was great. The powers were very interesting.
The only other problem was the game was pretty slow. All the effects and everything were nice but it just seemed so slow and filled with effects rather than action but that was the beginning of the game so it probably speeds up later on.
I say it’s overall a good game but still needs some work.

It wasn’t meant to be a fast, huge action game.

It’s more mysterious, and the game creeps along, but in a good way.

As for the graphics, i agree, some things looked crazy good, while others seemed low=par...

But this is just the demo.

Also, did you notice how amazing the wall textures and the water looked at the start?

Yeah, that amazed the hell out of me. I mean shit did that look great. Then I went into the elevator and everything looked like shit. Then a minute or two later everything looked amazing. It was crazy.

As for the speed, the speed was too slow. Most of it was just walking but that was the beginning of the game so I know it’ll be even faster later on. I don’t think the game was meant to be as slow as it was in the demo because that was too slow. The demo was only the beginning though.

I just want to feel the “atmostphere” in the game that everyone is talking about.

That was indeed why it was slow, it was the start, your guy was prob still thinking “WTF?" throughout the demo.

Anyways, i think the rest of the demo looked bad was because they needed the demo to be small for download, the entire game itself prob looks better.

And it will get faster i think, remember when the Big Daddy killed that guy when he hit one of the daughters? Expect stuff like that more often...

Or the back of the airplane crashing in one of those tubes and water draining in, things like that will prob happen more often.

Cool stuff.....

And i hope the whole game has pretty textures.

Dude, you have to see it! The textures at the start were easily some of the best this gen (for consoles of course), it was just so crazy.

And when you can first move, it was so good, i thought i was still watching a cinema...

do you have any HUD? I hope not because it brings much more realism. (in bioshock)

Small HUD, like 2 small bars in a corner, and if you have a gun a small bar in the other telling ammo.

You don’t get to fight a Big Daddy? That musta been disappointing... Looks fun though (albeit not as much fun as Brawl). Oh did I say that out loud? Lol
