BLOCKLANDS Building with Lego

Yes BLOCKLAND, the free game were you can build anything you want out of Lego and wage war against others. I onlt just heard about this game awhile ago, but I had a blast building stuff that I never could due to the short supply of Lego I had.

What can you build? Damn well anything you want. A house, Castle, Space Station, Sniper Den, or memorable places from games.

Where can you get this game. Well here are the Links

It’s important to unzip and install all of these and save it to the same Blockland Folder

It may take some time to getting used to, but after that you can build some pretty neat stuff.

So how do you play this game? Well, Once you in it, just press “Alt + o” it tells you the controls and you can change them according to your liking. If your using a laptop or don’t have a numberpad your going to have to reconfigure the controls a bit

To set a block just click anywhere on a platform and it will create a ghost of the lego peice. Then you just press the set key to place down the brick.

Pressing the number keys above the letters chaged the type of piece you will put down.

Pressing Q will allow you to change the colour of your bricks, and E will change what mode you are in.

If your not sure what you can do, or not sure how to do something, remember press “alt + o” and it will show you the controls.

Bricks can be flipped, turned, and changed in size. It’s best to start of with a simple house, to get a fell for it first before you start building skyscrapers.

When you guys are ready, someone can start a server and if you want, include a passward. Show us what you make!

Update!: When going to start the game choose the “dtb file” which has MS-DOS batch file underneath it.

This is what your Blockland folder should look like, and the file you should open to play the game is shown.

Yes, It doesn’t take very long, and as you can see you can make some pretty cool stuff. I have zero creativity so I just build things from old games.

Also, make sure to download all of them into the same directory.

Okay I have a server up, and I hope it works. Click on Join server then clikc on “Query Master”

Find “MovieCodec Server” and type the passward in the top before joining the server.

The Passward is “bjarne” spelled exatcly like that minus the quotations.

hmm, Did you download all of the links and save them to the same folder? I’m not sure what’s wrong.

Also make sure your folder looks the same as mine in the first post, and make sure you choose the same file to start the game as shown in the first post.

When I was saving them the last time, I just put them into the Block Land folder. I didn’t save in the folders inside the Blockland one.

When It asks you to save it to a location, just open your Blockland folder and save it, don’t open any of the other folders, when saving. It’s what I did.
