Canada definetly isn’t anywhere near as big as a market as America but it definetly holds it own against some other markets. Probably about as big as the German market if I had to take a guess. Here’s hardware sales for last month, June.
Wii-53,000
DS-46,000
PS2-21,000
PSP- 18,000
360-13,500
GBA- 8,800
PS3-6,500

Was almost a complete Nintendo blowout aside fro the 3 Xbox platform titles. Nintendo is definetly doing very well in Canada as you can tell. Software and hardware wise. The ratios are quite extroaradinary. Wii is outselling the PS2 2.5: 1 in Canada, 360 4:1, and PS3 8:1. As you can tell Wii is just the thing in Canada console wise. While the DS definetly controls handheld market outselling the PSP almost 3:1. But the cinderella story definetly is that GBA outsold the PS3 this month. Poor PS3.
Software is pretty self explanatory. My only complaint is who is buying Mario Party 8 as I’ve heard the game is terrible yet it’s still having amazing sales. Other than that Wii Play continues to be a huge seller everywhere having long term good sales. Forza 2 and Guitar Hero II for 360 also continue to have long termn saling success. Same with Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario on Wii. Diamond/Pearl on DS is supposed to be still saling amazing. It’s pokemon haha. And of course RE4: Wii Edition opens up in the top 10 for Canada. Definetly good since it was only out of 2 of these 5 weeks that were counted for June.
