The most expensive game console ever made was $700. If Sony really is making an 80 GB PS3, then it might exceed that. People aren’t stupid enough to pay that much for a game console.

Depends how much they sale it before but it’ll obviously be more expensive which I don’t understand. Price is the largest thing holding sales back so why are they making a more expensive SKU. It’s stupid.

They are prob worried about the 120 gig Elite harddrive.

I’m starting to think here that Sony isn’t thinking about the custmoer but their company welfare. I mean they’ve lost $2 billion and releaing a higher priced one with only a rip off of the monty on extra HDD memory would mean they wouldn’t lose as much money.

Sony is really starting to think about those hefty losses.

No they did that along time ago when they said the PS3 isn’t a gaming maching but a supercomputer. That’s when we knew Sony had lost it.

Im a sony fan but i do think that Sony is screwing themseleves over with this...

sony sucks, they had pretty classic games and systems, I loved ps1 and ps2, but now they are starting 2 become a rip off! psp wasnt really that good, ps3 has potential, but who wants to pay 600 or even 500 dollars just 4 a game system?
