Edge Magazine: Animal Crossing Wii to be an MMO?

Now this is not a confirmation as Nintendo hasn’t said anything but Edge seems to think Animcal Crossing on the Wii will be an MMO:

“A Japanese source has confirmed to Edge that the upcoming Wii iteration of Animal Crossing is set to be a social networking MMO.”

Now wouldn’t this just transform the series in the best way possible. Haha I may actually buy this game if this stands out true.

But will put a nice spin onto the series though.

Now if only they would make a Pokemon MMO. I mean there is no other series out there that fits the MMO structure better than Pokemon.
