I just D’loaded and played the beta, and it fucking owns, the battle on the ground are so intense when you watch, especially when the troops being ducking through cover and doing stop and pop gameplay, voice commands work perfectly, camera takes getting used to but it pwns.
Endwar seems promising, i’ll be playing more tomorrow, anyone else played it?
Dude it does suck. How the fuck could you have liekd it? It was prbly one of the worst RTS’s I’ve every played in my life.
The camera controls are terrible. Your limited to having to always follow a unit. You can’t free look or anything. You can’t just scroll over there and tell them to move there. Instead you have to zoom in and try to look far off in the disatnce from your position to order them to move. This was prbly the biggest issue that made the game suck.
The graphics are pathetic. The explosions look terrible, and everything is jaggy.
Not to mention the fact that you hardly get any troops on the map and there are only a few types of units you can have. This was also another major issue that made it suck.
The game is also extremely slow paced. It takes forever for units to move. It’s not too big of a complaint but it deteriates from the gameplay.
And actually the battles are the complete opposite of what you said. They’re not instense at all. shitty explosions and a small amount of slow paced units does not make an RTS action pacdked, CPO.
The only positive things in the game were the voice command and Theatre of War system.

I think your just spoiled by WiC.
Thats the prblm is ur always locked onto a unit. If you want to move acrosss the map u have to zoom all the way across the map. U can’t just move over there, ur locked on ur unit and u have to try to look over there while satying on ur unit. And lets not forgot it’ll take forever for the units to get there too. It’s prbly the worst RTS camera system i’ve ever seen. Absolute shit.
And dude just look at the infantry they’re jaggy as hell.
If you want to see some good explosions go play C&C3 on the 360. Plus there were not nearly as many units or unit types as there should’ve been. If it were a proper RTS it would’ve atleast made a much larger diversity of unit types.
Also the battles aren’t intense at all. shitty explosions and a small amount of slow paced units does not make an RTS action pacdked, CPO. It was sooo boring waiting for all my toops to move across the map. And the worst part is, once they get into a fight it really isn’t anything too special. I mean the camera has you so high above the ground and the only way to get real close and into the action is to press the zoom button which sucks becuase it limits the amount of things u can see. And again the units (tanks, infantry, choppers) all seem dull when fighting.
And one more small thing is that the loading times take forever.
I admit, I love WiC and all, but that didn’t stop me from being hyped about this game. I had big hopes for it, however it didn’t live nearly up to it’s hype. It’s a shitty RTS. Hopefully WiC on the consoles will be good, becuase honestly this is prbly one of the worst RTS’s i’ve ever played. I can’t see how you think it’s good. I’m not the only one who has been dissapointed by it either. Several ppl who i’ve met in it also said they disliked it.

I’ve been playing RTS’s for years now. I’ve seen the good ones and bad ones on PC and console. This is one of the “bad ones” unfortunatly.
But i doubt ur much of an RTS player so u might like it. I personally didn’t. It was a pile of shit compared to other RTS’s.
I’m actually really sad that it sucks. I was really expecting a lot out of this game. I was really hyped. I was hoping hat it was going to be a greta agme and kickass. But i was wrong. It’s really kind of sad. The night i got the End War Beta i played it for afew hours then went on to WiCD and had an awesome time. I mean sure this is only a beta and all but i doubt they’ll change too much up in gameplay between now and the final game.
