Enough WW2 and Man vs Alien Games?

Seriously! stop with these two genres! Its getting annoying and overused, Gears of War, Halo, Crysis, all great games, but soon it will not even be fun to look at.

I just had to get this off my chest, I don’t see anyone here complaining about this, but come on...

well as of right NOW i like them. I mean i admit there is quite a lot of them but i like the majority of them. (though, some of the plots are dumb). I mean you gotta love destroy all humans? Halo? Metroid? the list goes on.

As in WWII games...yes there is a lot of them lol. I cant tell you how many nazies I have killed in video games. From medal of honor allied assault, to Call of duty 3 I have played them all. Dont know why but i did.

Alien games are the thing right now, kinda like the racing games were with Need for Speed and games of the sort. But, I think this genre of aliens has lasted so long, and so have war games :s

I totally agree. Sci Fi FPS has been too far overly doen. That and any war shooter. They are getting all really lame and all exactly the same. I mean geez.

Yes, I can only recall a great FPS Sci Fi shooter, that has to be Metroid. Halo is remotely good, but take away the online and what do yo have? another FPS.

Gears is great because its NOT AN FPS. Crysis is just unbelieveable with graphics and its on PC. I don’t think its against alines but instead agasin’t other countries and such.

Don’t get me started on World War games...

I havent seen nearly enough Vietnam FPS’s. The possibilities are great....
