DS IS A BEAST. Seriously 430k in one week. It sold 1/4 of that in the UK alone. Wii sold pretty beastly as well. 172k in one week. 111k of that was sold in UK/France alone. Which is about 40% of the market, but lately has increased to being more around 50% of that market. PS2 still outselling it’s counterparts 360 and PS3. But PS3 still not doing bad in Europe/Other although most of the increases lately have probably been attributed to holiday rises, which like in America, have come early. Only hardware that really has had disproportionate increases is the Wii, as it goes off shipments, not increases. Although Nintendo has increased with the times of course, Wii probably would have sold more if more stock was there.
Lifetime sales shows PS2 as a beast. DS is coming close to halfing that. Also DS is about pass up its predecessor GBA. Only 2 million to go. And the way its selling right now it’ll do that before the end of 2007. Also the PSP used to be only at about a 5/3 ratio to DS in this region but not anymore. Now DS is more than 2:1 on it. Also in other big news Wii will pass up the 360 in this region next week, as it’s only down by 20k. PS3 is there, although attributing the lower sales to the later release date would be ignorant. But Europe/Other is set to have an amazing holiday season, which could put it well up there with America.
