I did not look into it last year mainly because I was busy with COD WaW and still playing Halo 3 due to the update. After trying it out, I saw my choices in the game expanding after each person I talked to. I went right from vault 101 to megaton, to the GNR station and now I have just decided to explore some of the wasteland. I love how there were many places that would just pop up once you get around to finding them.
I have to say I love it, I found other locations like Vault tec corp. and learned the locations of other vaults, I found a captive in the middle of a super mutant controlled area, wiped them all out and freed the person. I found a kid running to me for help as his home was overrun with giant fire ants and now I can get on that side mission anytime. I found the chainsaw sword, the ripper in the underground area of the ant infested spot.
The game is very nice. Only part that is annoying so far is at parts when you need to go underground in the massive subway systems and pop out at other areas with them but at least you can warp to the overworld locations once you get there and that is fine. Too much else for me to say, just it is an incredible RPG like the Final Fantasy series and Pokemon.

Dude, Fallout is not even CLOSE to Final Fantasy
I don’t recall final fantasy letting you stick grenades into people’s pockets and have them blow up.
