FPS game online question

Ok why the hell do game developers do this? They make it so that you an inexperienced player gets put right into a game with maxed out people who have all the best gear and weapons while you get crap from the start?

What the hell is wrong with compaines thinking that there is a sense of balance if they pit newcomers with crap against people who are now resident walking nukes?

I was annoyed with this fact in COD4, rather then have a total seperate playist of set classes with no custom classes allowed they just put you in with shit and against everyone who has powerful weapons.

I cannot understand how games can be called great and game of the year if the multiplayer does not even give a fucking chance to newcomers! I mean first COD4 now BFBC! I like Battlefield but come on, not giving the gear at the start is just plain crap, I mean as an assault my favorite class, all I can do is run out and run for ammo right now, I cannot heal myself because I need to unlock the fucking auto injector.

One reason I like Halo more is because everything is balanced and you do not end up taking crap at the start of nearly every game!

Because they are out to make money not care about the gamers haha.

Why not just pit you against people of the same or close skill level and you get to use your new weapons on them and only them on the ranked matches, save the rest for custom games.

Because they are thinking too much about the features instead of approachability. Not to many devs seem to care about that which in reality is a key aspect to most online setups.

what is worse is how people proclaim that the multiplayer is flawless when this is a huge problem, I mean do they want their games to appeal to everyone so everyone gets a fair chance or do they only care for making money?

I agree. Halo 3 IMO is my favorite online FPS.

I hate how the auto injectors and stuff have to be unlocked but the weapons are fine.

I unlocked all the weapons they’re all pretty balanced. They don’t give much of an advantage. I can’t really defend CoD4 because it wasn’t really balanced.
