Well?
lets think for a minute
look at brawl
Is it innovative
Has it revolutionized gaming?
Whats so new about it?
seriously ,Its very very fun but is it bringing anything new to the formula?
These are questions I ask myself.
Even Halo, same thing fun but it really didnt change anything either did it?
But look at games like Alan wake, little big planet and force unleashed, bringing new ideas to the table.
These are games that are truly changing the way we play In my opinion
What are your thoughts on this?

A game doesn’t have to be innovative or drastically change gaming to be good.
Games are changing for the better though.

i enjoy games like H3 and SSBB even though they don’t change much to gaming.
But i usually love games that bring something new like LBP and Spore.

I think change is good. Though I don’t think SSBB has revolutionized gaming because its been done before. But force unleashed isn’t realy revolutionary either becuase its also been done before. A revolutionary game is a thing like GTA3 witch brought to the table a non-RPG free roam and car jacking and realistic cities. LBP does seem like a realy innovative game but I don’t think its idea can be incorperated into many other games. I have no clue what Alan wake is. But to be honest I think anything that could be made has been made and is just being build on instead of starting somthing new

Who said I was trying to prove you wrong?
But hey, if you want me too.
Explain to me the effect GTA3 had on the gaming industry? I don’t really see it.
Not saying force unleashed will either though.
Besides, Force Unleashed is more revolutionary and advanced then GTA3.

Well alot of standards in gaming now are coming to free roam. This is obvious in some games especialy GTA clones but alot of other games such as platofrmers and third person shooters are making there games free roam and unristricted by levels.
edit: Also Of course force unleashed is going to be more advanced its not even released yet and GTA 3 was released in 2001

A burst of free-roam games didn’t appear until years after GTA, not only that, but GTA3 was far from the first free-roam game.
I just don’t see how it did much for the industry except being successful.

no actualy the driver games and true-crime came a few years after GTA. Also its going to take time to develope the game thats why it would take some years to get the game out. GTA3 wasen’t the first free-roam game but it popularized it.
