Golden Warthog on Halo 2

the golden warthog is not real if you get on top of a building it will probably say you fell to your death. SO STOP WAISTING YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a halo 2 modder and I know for a fact that the golden warthog is just a modded warthog. When I opened the map file to look for the golden warthog shader, I only found the regular warthog shader wich is shared in a map file called shared.map. I also looked through weapons for the scarab gun and found nothing. FINALLY, I looked through EVERY map file to make sure there was no shared shaders I just hadn’t found. It IS possible that there is a scarab gun hidden in headlong (not likely however) but the golden warthog glitch is a simple case of BS


Common descriptions of getting it:

1. Get to top of level and flip a switch.

2. Get 16 people to shoot rockets at the bilboard and it will 'drop from the sky' (yeah right)

3. Get a tank, both gaus turrets, and 16 people with rockets to shoot the big door at the bridge to nowhere and blow it up (definately bs, because that particular object doesn’t have a 'breakable object tag')

4 and most outrageou I’ve heard: Do 1 & 2 at same time then use sword flying to find golden warthog out in the water sitting around the edge of the wall, out of sight, on a pillar. (How do you get it back?)

If There is a golden warthog, it must be very well hidden. I have been up on top of every building on headlong and there is no frigin switch. I have been in all 4 pipes on headlong and ... no frigin warhog. I have been in a room with 16 people and blasted the fuck out of the door, no warthog, ive also blasted the crap out of that warthog sign and no warthog. I have also been pushed thro that door on top of the broken bridge and no warthog!!! WHERE IS IT!

Ok lets put this straight. You CAN get the golden (yellow warthog) on single player on the hotel in the metropolis level.You can NOT i repeat NOT get the golden warthog in multiplayer.I know the person who made the mod and started this whole thing! TRUST ME it is a mod.He found the warthog in a editor program and swaped the color of green to yellow and made it faster and took out the turret.He took some pictures then some DUMBASS came to the sight and saw the pictures but didnt read what it was about he told his friend its on headlong then he told his friend and so on there are people out there just getting you just to waste your time and it must be working.OK one more time this is a fact no opioin THERE IS NO NO NO GOLDEN WARTHOG IN MP!!!!!!

LET ME SAY THIS AGAIN. To put an end to all your quarrals, The yellow warthog exists ONLY as a mod, and there is NO WAY, NO WAY to make it pop out of the wall. NONE. NO switchs, NO secrets, just a good old skin done by yours truely. Now, If you want to get it that bad, simply go to www.xbox-scene.com to learn how to mod. Now, as to the matter of you using MY SKIN to make a video, and not include MY NAME, and say that you MADE IT APPEAR, well thats just complete bullshit. Give credit where credit is due, and stop trying to get attention saying that OMG I FOUND HOW TO UNLOCK THE YELLOW WARTHOG!!!111!!!. All ~Spesalfred.

the reason y people dont think theres 1 is that theres 2 many rumors of it and some arent real and they say theres none just because they cant get it

this is the best argument to the warthog being fake... the person who said they know the guy who made the mod.... there are about 400 mods, you know one douche who probably stole it from someone else and editted it in paint.

BUT! even though you said you went through all the files and shit, i have one response for you.

if you were my gf searching through my computer for porn, do you think i would call it, porn.mpg, or analsexinthebutt.avi? noooooooo!

i would name it smiley.jpg and when i needed the file, i would rename it to its correct filename.

my point being, if someone was hiding something, and they made a career of messing with the technology, im pretty sure they would be able to hide something that a programmer couldnt find. im sure youve seen a lot of files you didnt know what the hell they did.... maybe you dont know what they do, because theyre not ready to be used yet.


just an idea, i still believe it may be in an update one day.
