Here is a list of bands for a punk rock guitar hero...let me know if you agree. the clash , bad brains, minor threat,bad religon, nofx, bouncing souls, rancid, no use for a name, lagwagon, ramones, black flag, refused, misfits, operation ivy, hot water music, cro mags, dropkick murphys, green day, blink 182, new found glory, taking back sunday, the used, suicide machines, social distortion, good riddance. I could keep going but I think this is a good line up with a variety of diffrent types of punk bands. what ya think??? By the way if you dont know one of these bands you should not even comment on anything having to do with punk rock!!!

Well pop does mean generically popular. But that doesn’t mean it’s not punk. Most just call it pop punk because it’s punk that became popular.

Don’t know why people get mad at things getting popular. Usually that’s a good thing, especially for the artist. Even better when you don’t have to sell out like Green Day. People just like them.

Personally I think most underground punk is just awful. Probably a reason they aren’t pop punk haha.

Dude underground punk is the only good punk. They didn’t rape the genre and actually kept the essence of the early punk years. This mainstream stuff is just watered down and packaged to appear to pre pubescent girls who will eat the shit up.

First Off Guitar Hero Has gone the wrong way by making The beatles and what not, Its such a narrow market margin, If instead of Metallic they had say Metal, Itd be so much Better, Dont get me wrong Metallica Has Lots of goods songs But not so much that you can fill up a Game with,and make it a great, Id like to have seen More Then just them, There so much great music that coulda gone on there making it more extreme.Same for the Beatles, If instead of just them it shoulda Been say The 80’s General. Stupid if u ask me. i like the beatles but not enough 2 go pickup there game even for rental. id rather just listen on them. But the Oldies woulda been somethin.

Second off this Punk Rock Guitar hero would be nonsense if all they had on there was Sum 41 etc. All these Bands arent Punk Or even Punk Rock. There Pop Rock theres a big diffrence thats y there on the original Guitar hero’s casue there mainstream Pop Rock, If u heard it on the radio its Prob not Punk Rock and you wouldent here Punk On a normal radio station.

Beautiful Thing Bout Punk Is Most songs are fairly Short Which would mean you could Pack this Game full of a wide Range of Punk, Also the Short songs would mean shorter spands of Intense Jammin Which with other genre and there long songs when played to long can leave you feeling messed up.

Anyways i Hope they do Make A punk Style Game, Prob Be better as a Rock Band because of the great drummin, Base in most punk rock music. Id be sad if it came to A game full of new age pop rock border line Punk Garbage, I also listen to some of these bands but there not songs you would wanna play, Listen 2 your music. Just casue you can rock your head dosent mean the riffs and notes are tough or even worth putting together as a game.
