Hello, I just read all 5 pages of technical issues people are having. I heard a couple people say something similar to the problem Im having but have not seen the solution. Here’s what happens to my son and I. We bought the half life 2 from the store, and installed all 5 discs, reinstalled steam, steam updated itself and then we decided to try and play the game. the screen glitches and switches video mode like it does with other games through steam, but we get to this screen that looks like a blurry city view, and it says loading at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. And we here a chime, as if we are getting an error, but we do not see one. You can let this sit for two hours and it goes no further. Hitting escape, we arrive back at the desk top, but there is no error message on screen for us to identify the problem. Please tell me what the issue is, we are on a new gateway and play alot of games and have plenty of ram left. sixty dollars for christmas and a no return policy at the store we bought it at. HELP!!!
