halflife2: ai disable

how come i get this ai disable when i run halflife 2 and how do i fix it? i saw a previous post: open the console with ~ and type: ai_disable 0 ...but i don’t know what “open the console” means. where do i type this? please help. i am dumb, so require explicit directions. thanks,

it is very simple my friend:start the hl2 and when loaded you will see the clasic screen 'new game, load game, ......., quit'.The console is the window that you will see when you press the'~' botton.Then in the end of console press ai_disable 0 and after press the botton submit on the console.That’s it!!!

thanks for the reply. but whenever i hit the ~ key, nothing happens. i get no “console”. i guess i’m hooped. it’s weird. maybe it’s because it’s a pirated game? i don’t know. whatever. maybe i should just give it up and read a book or something...

you have to right click on the main exe file(the loader icon) and right somthing like -console. and then you can use the ~ thing.

i tried all this but it wont work, where in the game do i open the console, and how do i open it??? What do i use to get ~ in the game?? Shit im so .... about this....please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

to open console you need to have English enabled as your default input language, otherways there will be wrong type of “tilde” under “tilde” button, usually its "`" under USEnglish and something like "¡" under local languages.

for me its not the ~ button its the button above the tab i think there might be some difference to some keyboards.

Here is the solution for A.I.disabled bug:

Go into your hl2\cfg\ folder, and create a txt file, inside this
text file, write the following lines.

ai_norebuildgraph “1”
ai_disable “0”

Save, then rename the text file to ai_fix.cfg, right click the file
and set it to read only.

Next, open up valve.rc in notepad, you should see the following
// load the base configuration
//exec default.cfg
// Setup custom controller
exec joystick.cfg
// run a user script file if present
exec autoexec.cfg
//
// stuff command line statements
//
stuffcmds
// display the startup level
startupmenu

under “exec autoexec.cfg”, add this line
exec ai_fix.cfg

Save the file and your done!

i tried all this solutions but still i face the problem of A.I.Disable, please give the solution that work actually and which used by someone..

You can solve this problem like this...
Rewind the date of your computer.An example; if you are in 26 october, rewind the time to 25 october...

If it not heplping then just go back to 5-7 save games bach, and start game frem ther, it is must work, ot your gaem is pirated, because, you have to change the date. I dont know wher you got this game. usually Rusians make this stuff. probebly it is not best thing, but it is almost free!!!

to enable console:

go in your hl2 install directory and locate the config.cfg file open it with notepad and add bind “F1” “toggleconsole”

launch the game and go in options choose keyboard and click on advanced enable the developement console and then you can use console
