The final version (as stated by frankie) will have better ripples depending on where you are, real time reflections, and the color of the water will depend more on the shading and the color of the ground under neath (and this clip is from a 9 months old build)

Oh and this is random but...

h3 compared to gears.

Considering that shot is actually a later build, and the water isn’t that impressive, I think they may be talking out their ass.

Then again, Halo 3 has surprised me on the graphical level more than a few times.

CryEngine2 pwns you.

I’m still wondering why everyone cares so much about what Halo 3 looks like. I mean seriously get over the shallowness and jsut think about how fun the game will be not how many individual grass blades there are.

QFT

Not that Halo was ever amazing in the graphics in the first place.

I don’t think the series was ever trying to be uber real. It always has been a very colorful shooter in its own rite which goes to its artistic style. I like that about it. I hate all these games always trying to be gritty realistic. I mean it’s been done too many damn times before and getting old.

Halo 1 was THE BEST when it came out. It was MUCH better than the last gen n64 graphics which we were all used to back then. Halo 2 was a little dissapointing though. Halo 3 looks pretty good.

I think it looks good, MS said they DEMANDED that Halo 3 was the bes looking game money could buy for their console, so yeah, I don’t see much aof a surprise.

Oh and I still thik GoW loks better, its different than H3 so you can’t really compare mch, so, for say, the ountains aren’t supposed to bemuch visible for GoW because its supposed to take lpace in a dark place with fog and such, same goes for the clouds.

For what its worth, H3 looks like what it SHOULD look like.

As long as there’s shiny floating objects and glass walls like there was in Halo 1.

Ha, that’s funny. I remember you bragging about how Nintendo was going to have the most realistic looking water and all the crazy cube mapping stuff you obsessed over.

I guess those days are over now since Nintendo screwed you over with a cheap console?

That was before anyone know what the Revolution was. With fakes like you out there misleading everyone it was hard to know what was really going on with N5.

So was Metroid Prime.

I like how H3 has actual stuff in the huge maps, doesn’t feel as empty.

Yeah Metroid prime came out a little later than Halo but it was also a huge step forward

Metroid Prime has very large amounts of environental detail. It was leaps and bounds.

Halo also couldn’t handle Rouge Leader on GCN, granted the game wasn’t the most fun, it was technologically superior to most console games at the time. It was doing things Halo 2 did, but much earlier and on a weaker system. But Factor 5 is just good at that stuff.

That is a poor excuse, lol, why would your outlook change all the sudden?. And i’m not a fake.

I just don’t understand why you can’t admit the wii is garbage and not what you wanted.

People have different opinions. You feel everyone should agree with you and if you don’t then obviously theirs is wrong.

Poor excuse. It’s a legit excuse. No one new what the real N5 was until E3 2006. And Cube Mapping was something legit as it was patented by Nintendo.

Your just a brat who thinks his opinion is correct and if you disagree they’re wrong not you. Get over yourself seriously dude.

huh The Wii is better than what I expected. It’s one of my favorite consoles of all time. I still can’t believe you don’t like it...whatever. I’m just curious, do you have a Wii or PS3?

I have to admit. I don’t see a real big difference in grafix anymore. somtimes i wear my contacts, sometimes I sit with the scren angled, sometimes i’m drunk, and I almost never dust my screen. there are lots of little variables. these small details will hardly be noticed. I’d have to say when it comes to imersion with all these awsome looking next gen games that frame rates and those annoying little bugs are my issues. having a game freeze even for a moment kind of snaps you out of the immersion and gets me wondering if i’m gunna have to clean the disc in the middle of my game. i’m not seeing these grafix diffs. I hope i’m wowed when I pick up my copy, but i wouldn’t be dissapointed if i wasn’t. we got the sighted pistol back and I’m looking forward to some hunter turning his back to me! you know what I’m talking about!
