Halo 3 multiplayer question.

Ok, Last night I played a match with my friend over system link, it was snowbound, and map default weapons and everything was default.

Ok, this is also a pet peeve of mine in halo, he got two super weapons the shotgun and beam rifle. The thing is that I dont know how to counter against that kind of weapon combination. For one i hate it. I could be out in the open and die, or he could be searching for me and shoot me one time with the shotgun and I am dead.

How do you counter a guy with a sniper and a shotgun? BTW, he always hides in the bases and the rocks on the side of the bases, when he is sniping. With the shotgun, he is just on a non stop search.

In other words he is a super weapons whore.

The way to stop a sniper is definetly BR. Unless of course they are a really really good sniper, aka me.

The best way to stop a shotgun dude is a grenade/BR combo. While they are sitting back just toss a grenade to knock out their shields then BR to the head.

ok nice tips and thx for that, but this guy charges with the shotgun. Just runs up to you and wont stop.

Also he surprises me sometimes. Like the entry points to the cave at the bottom inside the bases, he just hides in a corner and just surprises me. That i cant overcome.

Bugs, if he charges you with a shotgun in open area, then continue to jump back and BR him in the head. As long as he’s not close the shotgun will have no affect.

Zucas is right, if he has a shotgun, back up and gun him.

If you are good with stickies, you can nail him from a pretty good distance.

When in the underground/buildings, try crouching, you may be the one who surprises, not him.

so just go to xbox.com or something, highlight it, etc.
