Most of my friends said that it only took them about 5 hours to beat and that it doesn’t have enough other features to justify the $60 price.

It is a very nice game, the free roaming part is nice, you can spot some serach parties of brutes and company far away and either fight or avoid them. You can find lost weapons around the city and use them to stay alive. I have played campaign on heroic so far and well, everything has been the same expect for jumping and running speed. I could take a shot or 2 from a brute shot and hide before my life could suffer, you basiclly play as a mark 5 spartan as I said a while back.

The Pistol is a nice welcome, it works as long as you do not get trigger happy and suffer from its recoil. The silenced SMG works nicely, good to scope grunts, jackals, and drones with. Works limitedly well against brutes. The AR still has more range, accuracy, and power and a larger reserve pool of 352 rounds, so I would still use this, the SMG only gets 192 for some odd reason.

Like the M6G from Halo 3 it has moderate power vs brutes, against brute minors (open helmets no shoulder armor) it works well enough. Majors/ultras (open helmet, shoudler plating) it will take a little more, 5-9 rounds depending on difficulty. Forget it on Captains and higher, they are too strong and you use to much ammo. The BR would rip through many of these because it took out shields faster with more ammo. The AR is still a better bet to rip off the shields and then headshot or beat them down.

well, if u dont have all the halo 3 maps theres anohter 30$ price so it then becomes a 30$ game (if u dont have all the new maps), and besides the fact u can pass the disk around with some friends for 5 dollars if they dont have all the maps either to make some cash wink

One thing I could definity say for this game is for the weapons,

Stuff life the Assault Rifle and Carbine remain unchanged, they are able to mow down and rip brute shields off quickly.

Since the pistols in Halo games have always taken a while to use against shields, the M6C/SOCOM is best saved for grunts and jackals, the M7S SMG can be your better bet for ripping off shields and dealing with drones. The SMG uses a different ammo this time, it is armor percing unlike the standard SMG ammo. Plus it can take as many as the needed 12-36 BR bullets it would take to normally rip off higher ranking brute armors.

not incredible as i claimed it would be...
the firefight and open world is nice and all, but this really should have come at a far cheaper price, other then the things stated i didn’t see anything new. also does anyone else have skulls forced on them in firefight? i keep getting catch and that makes grunts down right scary >.> i cant go out in the open for more then a sec without being blown to bits

A lot of morons forget how much the map packs for Halo 3 were standalone. Consider that, the whole new Firefight system, and a new Campaign, its a pretty sweet deal and I’m enjoying it very much.

If we’re talking difficulty though... I went straight in to ODST on Legendary (solo), but I still think Halo 2’s Legendary is harder. You can be quite efficient in ODST if you know how to utilize your inventory.

Just one last thing... I hate people comparing Firefight to Horde... endurance game variants have been around before Gears of War, to give one example, Bungie’s Marathon series included “Survival Mode”. Enough said.
