I said I am NOT looking for a more realistic Halo. I think it is fine unrealistic because I can run and gun. If it was on the Wii it’d be too realistic, taking away the run and gun element.
er, why would it turn faster on the wii? they could simply set it to the same scroll speed that it is on halo/ halo 2...
not as far as i can figure...
That’d be more annoying if anything when you know that it coudl go faster. Too bad it doesn’t have virtual reality because that would all our problems with these ports.
it would be the exact same as playing on a standard controler. if you had that problem using the wii mote, you would have that problem without it also.
Wiimote and virtually reailty are way different. the Wiimote has it’s problems while virtual reality would have less problems control wise.
Hold up, now your saying the wiimote isn’t good ENOUGH for Halo? As I recall before you said it was TOO accurate.
I never said it isn’t good enough. I am saying they don’t fit well and too accurate is the problem. There is no perfect controller and like every other the Wiimote has it’s problems. Some controllers are better suited for different games and engines.
Every remote has problems your saying? I agree with you there, do you realize who messed up freakin Xbox controllers are? Is a controller whose bottons are hyper sensitive (play on my friends system, you don’t even have to touch the L button and he throws a grenade) so much better?
You act as if I’m a 360 fan. I’m a Sony fan and I agree the xbox controllers aren’t that great but they are more compatible with certain engines and games moreso than other controllers, Halo is one of them. It is perfectly fine with the standard controller.
But it could be BETTER, i believe this is just a difference of opinions, only problem is that your opinion is retarded and holds no ground.

maybe, but not in this case. the wiimote most excels in fps games.
But not all. The game engine is enough to make a controller incompatible.
but it would.
you would turn at the same pace you normaly would, so it wouldn’t ruin that.
the aim would be almost the same, so it wouldn’t ruin that.
it would have slightly more realistic movements, making it better.
how is this making the game worse?
What’s the point in the Wiimote if it’s as inaccurate as you are all claiming.
The point is it’d be too accurate, throwing everything off.

Halo’s game engine changes everything. It’s fine as is. i’d say it’s perfect but if they make it easier to aim it’d throw off everything.
And what about Halo for PC?
Halo for PC sucks.
Do you even think about what you say before you post it here? Have you PLAYED halo on the PC? Fun as hell.
I hate the keyboard.
... your posting on a site yet you hate the keyboard... I sense a conflict of interests.
I’m talking about games.
So if your talking about games then your oppinion on the keyboard is negative, but in terms of how to send messages it’s possitive, you can’t have it both ways, you either like the thing or you don’t.
The keyboard doesn’t do well with games. I prefer a controller over a keyboard.
For normal computer stuff it works fine obviously.
So when it comes down to it, your just not smart enough to convert over to using the keyboard for games, I gotcha.
I don’t like the position of my hand on the keyboard while playing a game. It has nothing to do with being smart. I prefer a controller over a keyboard because it is gripped in my hand and I don’t need to hold my hand in an odd position that can give me cramps.
so, when you type, you feel your hands are in an odd position, i presume. that would mean whenever you type, it is very uncomfortable. that makes you sort of weird... or, as my brother said, it means you have Carperal Tunnel Syndrom.

No, you’re just being fanboys. The Wiimote does not work well with every game, notice how half the Wii games were great while the rest were pathetic.
Sometimes the standard controller is just better.
Plus how the hell is driving a vehicle gonna work?

I prefer a grip in my hands with buttons and analog sticks because it’s more comfortable and I have more freedom and my hands are more relaxed. Plus the keyboard isn’t touch sensitive.

no, halo is NOT one of them. there are probably some games, but i have yet to really think of any. maybe basketball, but i’m willing to bet that they would be able to make it work.
how would a racer be better for the ps3? it would be the same thing, if they used the motion sensitivity like they should.
and, it would work for flight simulations by basely using the wii mote as a pointer and having it be the plane essentially.

What kinda weird ass control scheme are you using? Do you have all controls set at random places spread around the keyboard so you can’t reach without breaking your fingers first?
Cus personally, I play FPS alot. And I never get cramps.
My hand rests on the keyboard. It’s annoying.
Are you using the Function buttons or something?
I prefer a grip in my hands with buttons and analog sticks because it’s more comfortable and I have more freedom and my hands are more relaxed. Plus the keyboard isn’t touch sensitive.
thats probably becouse you just aren’t used to using it. thats what happens when you use control styles your not used to, whether or not they are better.

No, I can just shoot their head with teh more accurate Wii controller and you forget how long it takes to turn around.
Some controllers are better suited for different games and engines.
maybe, but not in this case. the wiimote most excels in fps games.
^ WTF?!? ^
You just completely contradicted yourself.
Nope, you are all claiming it’d be mroe realistic and such and then claim it won’t be anymore accurate. Everybody knows a rod shaped thing in your hands is more accurate than an analog stick or a pair of analog sticks.
more realistic in no way means more accurate. it has to do with more realistic motions. the two do not directly affect each other.
have you ever used a wii mote? if not, don’t talk about how it is easier or harder to aim with.
It’s much easier to aim with and more realistic isn’t always good. Halo is more of a run and gun game, which is unrealistic and makes it more fun. I don’t want it to turn into a more realistic game and become another stealth game and whatever just to so the Wii can use it. The damned snipers’ll have it way too easy.
Just get another fps to go up against Halo instead of porting Halo.

I’ve played alot of Wolfenstein on the computer and it didn’t get any better than me. If I hooked up a standard controller to my PC it was easier for me. The standard controller does have some things over the keyboard and mouse set up. The only drawbacks I see is lack of accuracy and few buttons.

it wouldn’t change how its played. everything would be the same. it wouldn’t be easier or harder. it would be the same. NO CHANGE. it would be just as hard to aim, it would just be done differently. they probably wouldn’t even use it as a pointer, just make it so you tilt it to the left and you turn left. everything would be completely the same with speed of turning, except the movements that you do would be more like the on screen movements, immersing you more into the game.
