Since the game is going to be different using a new game engine, keeping that halo gameplay seems good but what would you guys like to see?

Since we already know we play as a Spartan or group of them in Reach, what are the gameplay elements that you would want in considering Halo 2 and 3 completely expanded the gameplay while ODST took a lot from CE but still retained most of Halo 3s gameplay. The question mainly is, how will the gameplay change considering this is before CE.

Some quesitons are:

What will the all purpose weapons be?
How will the life system work?
Will we see both all old and new gear?
etc

Anyways this is what would want:

1. Keep duel weilding, support weapons, and equipment, these are all staples in Halo 3, campaign and multiplayer, Reach keeps this, we have a good set again.

2. Return the BR, the BR is a nice weapon mainly because it would let us have a standoff weapon in nearly any situation, the H1 and ODST pistols were fun but not useful in every situation. If they keep the BR from Halo 3 as is, the balanced workhorse, bungie could most likey find some use for the pistol this time around, but knowing halo and pistols, we just have no idea what it could be. If they put in a pistol that is scoped along with the BR, it could work, the pistol could be given less scope range and dual wielded but when duel wielded, it could not scope in.

3. Keep recharging life, made everything fair and evenly paced. Rather if they do make the life system split between armor and life, give us some kind of equipment like biofoam or whatever for this.

4. If we get new weapons, could we finally use a jackal shield? Sure spartans have their own shields but some game types would be fun with a heavier frontal one for games like CTF.

5. If we get new vehicles as well things can really be fun, I could enjoy using a locust from halo wars if they put it in an FPS version.

6. Put all coveant enemies in, the elites could take the role of main foes again but brutes with all their gear could still be in, just no power armor. fight like they did in halo 2.

All I do know is that come spring of 2010 we will find out.

Keep the brutes power armour mechanic...they had it in Halo contact harvest. The halo 2 brutes were aweful unbalanced bullet sponges!

Oh my god, i remember that last level on Legendary, what a fucking bitch, hundreds of brutes, each taking three clips of ammo from the Arbiters Plasma Rifle to go down, and i couldnt find any Human weapons until after the Scarab part.

Thankfully the Energy Sword ran through them.
