I will buy the PS3 only if i need a replacement for my George Forman grill.

i personaly think that ps3 will loose some fans becouse of the probable high price, and the fact that the controler is getting alot of bad plublicity (i know they are going to change it, im just saying). i think they will sell 50-70 million. i think that the xbox has gotten m$ som credit among gamers, so i think that they will see a sales increase to about 30-40 million. and, lastly we have the rev. i beleave that the rev. will shed nintnedos kiddy title, bring in a wellspring of gamers, and bring back some gamers who abandoned nintendo becouse of the gamecube. i beleave it will sell 45-55 million. if this happend (and i am not claming i am an expert or know what will happen) then we could be looking at a much closer race then the curnet gen. was. also, it would mean that even though the ps3 would have sold the most (probably), the revs. goal of bringing more peope into gaming and xbox 360’s goal of increasing its popularity would both be a success, and sony would be loosing a big adience. so, i a way, everyone would come out on top.

1)ps3 at 50,000,000-70,000,000
2)rev. at 45,000,000-55,000,000
3)xbox 360 at 30,000,000-40,000,000

i think these numbers seem resonable, but, i dont nessesarely know what im talking about. this is just my personal guess.

Here is my take. Now it is a really hard decision. There are so many factors going into this so it is hard to tell how it will come out. I mean the Revo could easily sell 100 million consoles but at the same time only sale 20 million consoles. All touch decisions. So I’m going to take in all the factors and here is what I think will happen.

PS3 50 million consoles
X360 40 million consoles
Revo 70 million consoles

Now the reason I chose these is that because of a lot of things like price and choice by Sony they are going to lose half there fanbase easily. They no longer support the average gamer because of a lot of mistakes. X360 is going to cut greatly into that lead but still fall short. But the Revo as I said could go 2 ways. Well I think it will go first. The setup provides to all gamers hardcore and casual. It provides to all age groups. And it reaches out to more customers gamers and non-gamers. With this it will get a whole new public and it will get gaming public now. And it will get a lot of customers as a secondary console cause all the people who own a PS3 and X360 will just have to have one also.

With that much of a variety of customers it could only sale at the smallest 70 million.

no way will there be a combined 150 million consoles sold this time around, simply because of the pricing.

Rev- 47-50 million
PS3- 40-45
xbox360- 25-30 million

over a 5 year span.

well it took basically 6 years for the ps2 to sell 100 million and that was when it didnt really have a competitor the whole time, it was priced reasonably, went through a new look and had a humungous library of games and played dvd’s which was this huge new feature. Expect ps3 to atleast be cut in half cause now it has competitors the whole way through, everyone now has dvd players, its gonna be priced high and less games will be coming out for it. IMO the ps2 was hyped alot more than the ps3 will ever be.

Nintendo now offers what the GC didnt, so expect sales to atleast double. It’s gonna take a while before nintendo gains back the huge crowd it once had. I see Revo being in the lead because of price and it will offer more than competitors and have a diverse library, but we cant expect over 50 million to sell, thats if the controller doesent completely change gaming, but if it does than i can see around 60-70 million selling, but im not gonna jump the gun so i’ll say revo sells atleast twice as much as GC.

you cant expect 360 to sell a whole lot more than the original, because it is only big in the US and UK for the most part so 30 million 360’s out the door would be a success, and it doesent offer alot more than what the original did so we cant expect sales to soar through the roof, no way.

sony will sell the least due to its high price, but with its fanaticle fan base it will still sell. MS will sell the most due to its price, power, and head start. nintendo will sell nearly as much with its low price, but it will have to come out with better games than wind waker and sunshine.

I really don’t think 360 is going to be first (My opinion) I think, based on polls, that Revolution will sell more, look here...

oddball, yes it is your opinion. and although I think MS and NIN will be close I think sony may be even further down after there european vice pres said PS3 will cost $700 U.S..

Thats not final. We will see how much it costs after it comes out.

Very diplomatic oddball, way to stay on the fence. I do wonder though. this may have been a test to see how the consumer would take this news (obviously not very well) but it may have been a test.
