So they stoped making 60gb PS3 and started making a 80gb but i thought they only going to have the 80gb for america, can someone please explain this
Sony would just be screwing themselves if the have no price drop just add ons like they wont get my money, I was gonna buy the 60 gig for $500 if they change that.......360 here I come!!!!!
Sony has completely stopped production of the 60gb version and is now only producing an 80gb version. But all 60gb versions, until there are no more, will cost $499. Sony thinks they’ll be gone by end of htis month. I say by the end of year.
80gb will be available everywhere aside from Japan. I think Japan will still only 60gb for the price they already have there.
the NZ price would stay the same and im pretty sure our stock of 60 gb ps3s will last longer, it doesnt matter anyways for us because we never got a price drop, and the 80 gb ps3 also includes motor storm which means we save about 100 NZD plus we get a bigger hard drive for the same price, so for us its good, while americans try to look at it negatively because the price drop for their already cheap ps3 was only temporary
It really is a smart move. You can buy the cheaper 60 gig, which will soon run out. With the 60 gig being cheaper and soon to run out it forces you to get the 80 gig even if you didn’t want it. What’s more is with the 60 gig seeming cheap the 80 gig seems even cheaper with 20 extra gigs and Motorstorm packed in, a $60 game. That makes the 80 gig version the cheaper deal.

Yep and I love it. You can burn cds and everything right out of the box. I have lots of memory and I downloaded pretty much every demo and I have a bunch of cds on it.
