Is Gears of War the so called "halo killer"

By now most (if not all) of us have played Gears at some point. Before it was released, it was going to be known as the “halo killer”. to those that have played it, is it a halo killer? IMO, it is a halo 1 and definetly 2 killer. Now Halo 3 might beat Gears and we will find out Sept. 25.

Any comments?

Killzone and Gears of war are 2 diffrent games

geears will be the new halo......after halo is over and done .......well i think so at least halo 3 is still better

No... it increased the hype, bungie nearly got several hundred thousand new members on there site, and pre orders are still over 4 million.

Oh not even close. Gears really even wasn’t that great of a game. No offense but it wasn’t. It was simply a very stereotypical shooter that really sold to feed the hungry Halo fans.

I think it definently killd halo 2, I played both at friends houses, I went in on GoW like I was playing Halo I got myself shot...multiple times....GoW takes more skill in my opinion

Demon Slayer- just cause a game sales well doesn’t mean it was a good game.

Oh you know what I mean. Through game in there haha.

And whether console or game it’s true either way. Cuase whether something is good or not is nothing but personal opinion anyways.

but arn’t u always saying use sales as reviews? it sold like 4 million?

Gears was a great game so I somewhat disagree, but you are right about the fans. If Halo 3 was the spagetti at the Olive Garden, Gears would be the bread sticks and the salad.

i say its better than halo, i like how u have to be objective and not just stand around shooting, in gow u have u atach urself to a wall most of the time, and you even have to do strategic work, like when i was playing with my friend in co-op, we had no idea on how to get through the dark areas without getting eaten by bats, and it was really satisfying when we found out, like finding that you have to push a car and blow up gas tanks, and 1 guy has to aim a light on the other guy so he doesnt get eaten then he has to turn on all the lights, i found it to be quite a good game

I don’t stand around in Halo...

I actually move and use strategy.

Its Gears that i just stand behind a wall and shoot.....

in halo you theres no point where you have to do something specifically like blow up a gas bottle to move further
