Back in the day, Sonic was the only rival to Mario. Plus.. His games really aren’t that bad. Sonic is a very good game, despite the cheesy spin offs and the bad current gen games.

the good old days of sonic 2d, i used to play them and i loved them

The 2d games for the GBA and DS are still great. Last great console Sonic was Sonic adventure 2 battle. Heros was average while the new ones are just plain horrid.

They really are that bad, all you have to do on all the original games is press to the right on the D-pad and that is the entirety of the game; it’s boring.

Sonic (2D) is probably one of the best games back in the day.

That is the easiest way to get killed in the games unless you are using Super/Hyper Sonic.

Sonic is famous for his iconic games that rivaled Mario, and somewhat his music and headstrong-take-on-anything attitude. His stages ae very recognizable too. Who doesn’t know of Green Hill Zone?

He’s Sonic, the first video game characters to really utilize speed.

That’s funny, I coulda swore it wouldn’t let me run through enemies or over chasms.

Sonic games used to be one of the best franchises out there, all the way up until the last Sonic RPG, Sonic Adventure 2: The Battle.

I’m hoping the Sonic RPG on DS, and the upcoming Sonic games for Wii will revive the series.

in sales maybe...

sonic is so dead its not funny...sonic died with the saturn...people buy that crappy Olympic game because there isn’t that many good wii games so the fact that mario is in a game the game sells well...

i doubt it has anything to do with sonic(maybe slightly).
i cant think of one game that involves mario that hasn’t sold well...

and i don’t even hate sonic...

It started off real good, but than tried to cash in on many titles like Mario has done. The problem is was not many titles were as good as the earlier ones and it has been slowly dying off.
