With the Japanese release of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep over and done with, many of the fans of the series know of the game’s events. Even though the prequel to the series has been a hit, the anticipated next title is still in mind, and fans will be pleased to know that Tetsuya Nomura - Kingdom Hearts' director - has hinted at the creation of Kingdom Hearts III, which - if created - will presumably pick up from where Kingdom Hearts II ended.
Well, we have finally gotten some good hints in that it is coming. Let us hope...
And Josh and Ct, before you even think about posting, GTFO. Just because KH twists Final Fantasy as it is a Spin Off and mixes it with Disney, doesn’t mean it sucks. I don’t want to see anything from you two unless it is good things.
But let’s get BBS released State-side, first. lol. Probably still be a year or so before we even hear anything more on the matter. Hopefully it is announced as a definite around E3 or TGS

You don’t understand, The story is what most of us follow. The gameplay is pretty fun also, but the story. Take away all knowledge of any FF or Disney character you see in there, as you must when watching or playing any spin-off or hollywood rendition.

Nah, I ain’t like a twilight fangirl. I actually don’t have too much of a problem with most of the FF characters. Just the ones they made small and Cid. I actually like some of the new looks they gave them too. My problem really revolves around the core cast. Sora, Goofy, and Donald. Sora was a sorry protagonist. The whole thing was off. He was too young and too immature. They tried to make it funny but he was really. Just annoying. And then, Goofy and Donald as main cast? Stupid. They should have kept ALL Disney and FF characters as supporting cast. Give you worlds from both games to travel to, and allowed occasional characters (like once every 2-3 worlds) from both games to fight along side of you. Then you need to be able to switch between characters to fight with when they’re in your party. Finally... A key for a sword was unique... but seriously stupid.

And yeah, after playing FFVII I can see why you don’t like their version of Cid. haha. I mean FFVII’s Cid drops a bomb every other word and is extremely sexist. haha. Love him.
And when you say small, do you mean young, like Tidus, Waka, Selphy, Zack (in BBS) and Seifer and his gang, or do you mean small, like the gullwings?
I actually like the key thing. I mean it’s more a bludgeon than a blade, but still...
As for Goofy and Donald, they have the veteran Disney characters as main characters for good reasons. Don’t ask me what they are, but yeah. lol. I didn’t too much like Sora at the beginning of 1, but he did grow up out of his really goofy awkward phase.. It did make me laugh when he tried to cheer Riku up at the end of 2 by making that retarded face...
And Riku was always my favorite. The fight with him in Hollow Bastion in 1 was amazing.
How far did you ever get in either of them? And have you ever given CoM a chance?
But I really just don’t like the characters. And I think bad characters can ruin a good plot. And in this case, I think it did. The game just didn’t have the emotional impact that it could have had, had the main character focuses not been children.
Yeah, good thing though is BBS is taking a more serious look on it as a prequel. and Days (The DS one) was pretty good. I think it wasn’t really the main cast that ruin it for most, but rather the childish disney characters. I mean, some of the worlds are done well... But number 2’s Little Mermaid level... Gag me... And there were a couple other levels... Like PotC... that I just wanted to get the hell out of as soon as possible. You have to remember that disney’s focus is the children/teens, and as such they give them characters they can relate to, and a goofy real life kinda spin on the main character. It isn’t an epic. The hero isn’t a well known guy, he doesn’t have super powers (well not at the beginning and he still lacks a lot) he isn’t 100% serious all the time. And I like that about it. Was just the few levels and then the stupid Gullwings that got me... I love the organization though. And Riku... They even made Micky badass. lol.

Your description of Kingdom Hearts sounded exactly like Final Fantasy X.
Lol your saying that KH villians are stereotypical? As opposed to most of the main characters in FF?
And yeah, it’s really the games story which makes it a favourite, along with well designed boss fights, pretty simple and fun gameplay and a decent characters. I’m not talking about Sora, Riku and Kairi though, those guys can die in the next for all I care, more along the lines of Roxas, Namine and DiZ (Christopher Lee FTW). Also Orgy 13 brought more mature aspects and storytelling to the series...
BBS looks insain, though I have a slight feeling that all three main guys get killed/sealed/lose their exsistence and that KHIII will be about saving them...
