I know i have gone over the plot on this game. but know i’d like you to see exactly where zelda fits in at this time period of the zelda franchise, which is the last. I will be having the next article up soon on where link’s long lost companion navi comes into this final battle. so with no furthure adu feast your eyes on my next article.
Link’s main focus throughout the Zelda titles has been indeed to protect princess Zelda. He has witnessed and conquered many obstacles along his path of reaching her. This would indeed lead many to diffidently believe that Zelda would (if anyone) be the final person link would have to save. Unfortunately, in this last Zelda installment of the series, I’m afraid to say that Zelda won’t specifically be the main problem on links “to do” list. In fact she may not even be on the list at all. Now with that said, it should allow you to see how and where exactly Zelda herself fits into the final installment, The Legends Of Zelda Rise Of Final Darkness. Ok, first of all lets go back to the ending of ocarina of time. (You must understand the reason why every thing refers back to OOT, is because that was the Zelda that kicked the whole timeline theory off. And pretty much paved way to the two-sided timeline.) Now as I was saying, at the end of OOT, after link defeats Ganondorf. Zelda sends him back to his real time before he pulled the master sword, to regain his lost childhood years. Link, went back in time and explained of the evil that ganon will soon put into action. (Seeing as how he came from the future and witnessed Ganon’s plans head on.) While link began to start a new journey, back in his childhood years, adult Zelda was still there in the future and it is obvious that she was left “ahead.” Shortly after sending our hero of time away, Zelda dedicated her life to helping the 6 sages, by becoming the 7th sage, to help keep Ganon sealed within the sacred realm. Now lets go back to Windwaker, where the tale in the beginning states that the evil Ganondorf, had returned to hyrule. However, no hero returned. It is simple to understand that the hero did not return because link (the hero of time) had left that timeline, and thus could not return. It is strongly unknown how Ganon could have escaped from the 6 sages and Zelda. Could dark link possibly have had something to do with it? Well considering this leading up to the final chapter, of course he had everything to do with it. Dark link was an unknown real threat to princess Zelda, however our hero of time understood to a certain extent that he had a dark side. Now, with dark link in the future, and leaving a clone of himself that was created by Ganon in the past timeline, the (true) dark link knowing now that link the true hero of time is out of the way, sets out on a quest to once and for all to attain all 3 pieces of the triforce. He already had the triforce of power in order to free Ganon. Could this mean that dark link is using Ganondof? Since we clearly know that Ganon is known to be the holder of the triforce of power? Now hold on lets go back to my recent article concerning the plot. Within the plot, it clearly states that at this time period of the final chapter in the Zelda series, that dark link will have acquired all 3 pieces of the triforce. Well, judging from that we indeed know that whatever plan dark link is cooking up in the future without our real hero around, indeed succeeds. It is stated in the plot, that the timeline reconnects at this time period, so how exactly could that happen? Well, with dark link acquiring all 3 of the triforce pieces in the future, it would be quite easy to see how he could alternate the timeline back to its (original order.) We asked one of Nintendo’s highest representatives of the Zelda team about this matter, and he replied with this, “Lets just say that with links ultimate foe acquiring all 3 pieces of the triforce, will result in absolute power of incredible measures. In order for him to connect the timeline back to the original order, he will 1st have to put a hold on the time key itself.” A time key? Well once again another direct quote leaves us with even more mysteries. One could assume that the time key could be the very tool that shifted time itself, maybe the Ocarina Of Time?! Maybe, it’s a great guess however; it doesn’t entirely stand on the same side as the time key. I mean the Ocarina did not shift time itself, it altered time to meet are hero’s needs. But his needs weren’t 8 yrs apart from his own time; the only other explanation of the time key would have to have been the master sword!!! That is what altered and shifted time itself, what else could have? I’m guessing at some point after dark link acquired all of the triforce pieces, he than later went to go destroy the master sword, to shift time with its original order. However, one would clearly suggest since Link the hero of time, had left how would the master sword stay around? I can not give you a straight front up answer on this one, only that since his triforce of courage was still existent in the future timeline after he had left. Than I’m sure some how, that the Master Sword was also still in existence for use somewhere as well. So knowing all of this, it is quite adequate to say that dark link would have to find the master sword himself. Now lets go back a bit, remember when I told you that Zelda went to go remain with the 6 sages after she had sent link back to his childhood years? O.K. then, now when dark link went and freed Ganon, the sages banned him and Ganon away from harming Zelda. Well, I would assume that dark link knew, in order to find where the master sword was he would have to keep Zelda alive. Since at this time dark link had not acquired all of the triforce pieces, he knew in order to find the other triforce piece of courage and the Master sword, he would have to give Ganon the triforce of power, and allow him to reek havoc on hyrule. This would allow for both the triforce holders (Zelda& ancestral link), to be reconnected and also unveil the master swords hide out to slay Ganon again once and for all. If you also did not realize, this smooth planed attack that dark link put into action, would cause Zelda to have to disguise herself in a different form to come down to the earth and help bane Ganon. Since the sages protected Zelda from Ganon in the sacred realm, she knew they would only be able to assist her with wisdom on the earth, which was no guarantee that she would be safe from Ganon on the earth. So, she disguises herself as tetra! Now princess Zelda was unaware of dark links plan, she was following his plans intentions without even realizing it. By finding out where the triforce of courage was, led to both ancestor link and Zelda, revealing the master swords hideout. It was located inside of hyrule castle at the bottom of the sea away from anybody, put there by the sages in order to keep Ganon’s true power sealed. Link could not defeat Ganon without the master sword, and thus pulled it from its pedestal, causing Ganon’s minions to be revived and his true power to return to normal. The Master Sword was instilled deep within the sea because; the sages didn’t know that there was another evil, which saved Ganon from them only to use him again to claim what he (dark link) desires. Link eventually defeats Ganon and thrusts the master sword into his head, causing Ganon to turn to stone. The sages allow it to remain there, which is (supposedly) the last time the master sword is seen in the Adult timeline. Well, I guess we all know what happens then huh? It is quite unknown why dark link does not straight away kill link and Zelda, and then afterward go after the master sword, paving way to the phantom hourglass and what not. However, since the plot clearly states that he will have acquired all 3 of the triforce pieces, it shows that he indeed does go through with his scenario of killing link and Zelda and attaining the final two-triforce pieces at some point of the adult time line. One could assume that after dark link acquires the final two-triforce pieces, he sets out to go and now destroy the master sword. He finds it where it was left, and shatters it with his dark version of the sword. He is able to shatter it because of the power his “Dark Master Sword” poses with all 3 triforce pieces. By doing this, I’m guessing that he also shatters the flow of time itself, with its original timeline, thus reconnecting the timeline! However, before the adult Zelda dies, she engraves her spirit into the Zelda of the other timeline, thus making that Zelda the actual real princess Zelda. With Dark link reconnecting the timeline, and having all triforce pieces does not exactly mean that link and company do not have theirs as well. You see, since the timeline was reconnected, what happened in timeline B, did not happen in Timeline A. In timeline A Link the real hero of time 10 yrs after his rebirth, has destroyed the clone dark link of his time, and has received news from princess Zelda that dark link has acquired all of the triforce pieces, and has more less fused the timelines back together in an effort to destroy the real hero of time once and for all! Now where Ganondorf stands is completely unknown, we could predict that he may join forces with link knowing now that dark link has been using him over the years to do his evil will. Maybe dark link threatened Ganondorf to do all the evil over the many years? It is still unknown exactly how link, Zelda, and Ganondorf lose their triforces in timeline A. We asked Reggie on the matter and he coughed out this, “Links shadow acquiring all 3 of the gods powers, would inform one to revise the concept of the individual holders separately being able to put harm on the one that holds all.” He than finished it up with, “Lets say there’s more ways than one to fight and divide the holder of the gods powers. Dark link will not hesitate to rid the remaining pieces of the triforce that the holders poses in timeline A, but we know that the sages in the sacred realm have gathered their strength in an effort to make war with the evil ruler of the world.” I can’t exactly state the meaning of this, but one thing is for sure, Zelda is now the one telling link what has happened, and who must be stopped in order to return peace to not only hyrule but the world. Link’s response upon after the talk with navi centuries ago, is now underway. The Rise Of Final Darkness is indeed at hand.
Wow! that really shows how much you know. What you should do is actually READ, the damn article. THAT, should tell you what is going, actually? Better yet you should go back and read the dark link article that i posted, you will be more educated about this series then. I’ve told people before, do not skip any articles or you WILL be lost. your an example.

Hmm, an article made by some guy, or the actual game?
I think I’ll go with the actual game, and say that Dark Link dies in OoT and FSA.

Some people just don’t understand the Golden Rule.
This coming from a guy who has no actual credentials to make anything that he says legitimate at all, and basically renders his own wall of text, although very imaginative, a steaming pile of uncanon bullcrap.
Though it’s very imaginative, there isn’t a speck of anything in there to say it’s real, and not just some idea you came up with.
I don’t think I need to stress this any further.
the article goes over stuff from the recent games retard. And besides, i did not make this artile, i found it and the dark link article. They both mention what roles the characters play in the last zelda installment. and also how they lead up to the final zelda game. Its not made up shit man, you REALLY should take a look and quit just talking. at least read the dark link article, go to search and put in legends of zelda rise of final darkness dark link. then read this article. Only then will you realize what i am saying.
It goes over stuff from the recent games? Like Phantom Hourglass?
And where did you find it? If it didn’t come from Miyamoto’s mouth, then it doesn’t real.
And Dark Link is not an important character. He’s basically Shadow Mario, who also was unimportant.

you can’t even compare fucking shadow mario to dark link the fuck? Mario is piece of shit to the mario franchise belive me, it was just copying zelda, that kiddy ass game. How could you try and compare fucking shadow playful bitch ass mario, to shadow link? WOW. In the mario series hell yea shadow mario is a waste of time, but in zelda shadow link is not. he ppears in soo many other zelda titles.

I lol’d at the fact you totally missed his point. Dark Link is like other dopplegangers of characters, there’s no motivation or really backstory, or anything to the doppleganger shown that makes it more than just a simple boss enemy. An example of a doppleganger character NOT fitting into this stereotype would be Dark Samus. It’s important, has a backstory, some sort of visible motivation, and is a consistent boss enemy. Other dopplegangers like Dark Link only have the last category checked off. Stereotypical doppleganger.

Except that Mario is a better series and came before Zelda.
And Shadow Mario was actually an interesting plot device (like Dark Samus, as Ty said), while Dark Link was the same sub-boss in every game consisting of you fighting yourself.

If you guys would just READ what the article says, its not bullshit. As for dark link, he is the final foe for the zelda franchise, i mean in oot he was WAY harder than ganon. By the way, if you were making the last game for a series, wouldn’t you want the final foe to be someone who people wouldn’t really have thought it would be?! I mean i don’t know how dark link could not be the real foe, as a matter of fact i’m going to post the dark link article right in this forum, and i’d like for youguys to read it so we can continue this discussion with everyone on the same page.
The Legends of Zelda
Rise of Final Darkness
(Dark link)
Dark Link is everything that Link is not and everything that he is at the same time. It would be accurate to say he is Link’s exact opposite, for whatever Link desires, Dark Link wants the opposite. He holds the skills of the Hero but instead of all things good, he is bad, this making it possible that Dark Link was created from all of the negative thoughts and feelings in Link, the Hero of Time. It is also possible that Ganon brought life to Link’s shadow using dark and evil magic. He is filled with evil and a need to destroy the Hero and the line of the Hero. Dark Link in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is the same person as the one in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time possibly, but the Link is different. Unlike Dark Link, Link is not immortal and eventually dies. However, several of the incarnations of the Hero of Time had to face Dark Link, or some of the mass-produced Shadow Links. It is unclear if Dark Link works for Ganon directly, or merely fights the hero on his own accord as he did in The Adventure of Link.
Dark Link’s creation is not often elaborated upon in the games he appears in. However, it is generally assumed that Ocarina of Time reveals his backstory. As Link is traversing through the Water Temple, he comes upon a surreal room matted with water, a skyline, and a small tree in the middle. Link’s shadow suddenly leaves the floor without him noticing and hides behind the tree, causing Link to lose his reflection in the water as well. After Link has no success opening the door on the other side of the room, he turns around and is ambushed by a dark version of himself. The weaker, mass-produced Shadow Links all come from various sources. In Four Swords Adventures, they are continuously spewed out by the magical Dark Mirror, obviously being separate entities from the original Dark Link. In Oracle of Ages, Veran produces four of her own, though they are the weakest to ever be displayed. In the Gameboy Advance version of A Link to the Past, four Shadow Links appear in a hidden dungeon, and it is stated that they represent the final challenge to the Hero before he can claim the Four Sword. In the non-canonical Four Swords manga, Dark Link is said to be Link’s doppelganger from the Dark World; he does evil acts to be noticed, since people turn their backs to their shadows. This Link is also afraid of the light. In the end, he realizes that he is a part of Link, which made him a hero. He destroys the Dark Mirror, killing both Vaati and himself for the sake of the world. Before Dark Link dies, one of the four Links tells him, “You are one of us." This pretty much sides with the statement of me talking about dark link fighting link over the years to see how much he’s improved. Let me tell you of some of the games dark link has appeared in, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, where Dark Link serves as the final boss of the game. Link is forced to fight him after the defeat of the Thunderbird, in order to win the Triforce of Courage. Dark Link appears when Link approaches the Triforce of Courage. The lights go out, and Link’s shadow jumps away from his body and then proceeds to attack with his sword. He is eventually defeated by Link, who after the ordeal revives Princess Zelda. Dark Link is never described as one of Ganon’s servants; more likely, he was a final test left for Link by the King who hid the Triforce of Courage. Nor is he at the time referred to as Dark Link. It is possible that he is a separate entity from the incarnation of Dark Link from Ocarina of Time. He also appears in, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Dark Link appears only in the Game Boy Advance port of A Link to the Past. After clearing several sub-challenges included in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords and the main game itself, the hidden Palace of the Four Sword appears. In this palace’s final room, Link must battle four Shadow Links, each with a different tunic and different powers. Their tunics correspond to the colors of the Links that hold the Four Sword: Green, Red, Blue, and Purple. Each Shadow Link has a different power, and the powers of the previous ones. These powers include using Link’s charge, sword beam, a jump attack, and the hurricane blade. Dark link also appears in the legends of zelda a link to the past, ocarina of time, oracle of ages, the four swords, and twilight princess. Although you do not fight him in TP, there is a part where if you look at your shadow before extinguishing the lantern, your shadow really resembles him. It is very clear that dark link has indeed appeared in many of the recent zelda games. Proving my point in saying that he is watching link over the years to see, each time how much he’s improved. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see dark link be the final most difficult boss, link has ever faced. He pretty much is always pretty damn close anyway! However, I do belive that dark link is links real enemy, and whether ganon is going to help link destroy it, or link do it alone, it’s one battle that is sure going to end the battle between good and darkness once and for all! Reggie one of nintendos biggest spokesman, has reviled this about dark link, “Hes a very interesting problem that seems to always linger around are hero, in an agonising sort of intimidated way. Mabye one could suggest that if are hero lives so will dark link, lets just say his darkness is sure to bring tears to the uplift of this story.” He than went on to say right before he left, “dark link interveining in the story is the final sand grain to reach the bottom of an hour glass. Very much to ones delight, the hour glass is only half full!” This was a very great statement made by reggie, but he can’t hide the answeres to our questions quite as good as Miyamoto can himself. This statement was very clear to the publics eye, it was telling us what we wanted to know and more! First off when reggie said, by link living so will dark link, I belive that if link dies so will dark link? I don’t know what he intended on us thinking, but that’s what it sounded like clear as day to me. Secondly, when reggie actually admitted to us where the zelda franchise with dark link will occur, im pretty sure it is the last in the book. You might ask how I know this, but it’s easy go read the quotes again for yourself. He actually said that the zelda where dark link intervines strongly, is the last grain to hit the bottom of the hourglass!!! Yea, yea. I know what you all are thinking, “NO! this can’t be the end of zelda!” Mabye that last installment could be? However there is some really great news to this as well! Reggie then went on to say that the hour glass is only half full! So that MUST mean that there are plenty of more zelda games to come before the last one reaches, and that is to our delight indeed!!! We also found out that dark link is the final foe that link must face, a tool he must defeat and keep from darknesses bane. There is indeed coming a Rise of Final Darkness.

In OoT he was much easier than Ganon. And for the last game in the series, I’d just recycle the main villain, but make him much more epic.

Yeah you say it’s not bullshit but there’s no really credible sites you’ve provided. Nothing from anything major like, G4 or some other place like that.
As for the final foe, there’s little reason for it to be Dark Link, who is a completely irrelevant character. It’s not about being unexpected in finale, it’s about bringing closure, something like killing Gannon and it actually going all across time.
Dark Link has no real background, he’s just another boss character. Gannon does have a background, and a major part of the history. No Gannon means no story, basically. No Dark Link changes nothing. You’re just trying to make him out to be an important character, needlessly.
I never said ganon is not in the rise of final darkness. OF COURSE ganondorf is in this game. And there is an article on him also, i’ll post it but first you must read the zelda article to understand the ganondorf one. Once you tell me you have read the zelda article (Truthfully) i WILL post is. the legends of zelda rise of final darkness isn’t fake, it will be coming out sometime in the future.

Link’s response upon after the talk with navi centuries ago, is now underway. The Rise Of Final Darkness is indeed at hand.
