I have a question about the ending cutscene. After link impales Ganondorf with the Master sword, the triforce symbol on his hand disappears and by extension the cracking glow on his chest and his god-like powers. Right after Gandondorfs almighty power is gone you see a vision of Zant in front of some glowing blueish green background. Zant snaps his neck and Ganondorf screams in pain. He is left standing there with the Master Sword remaining in his chest. That is the last we see of him.
So why did Zant snap his neck? And why did Ganondorf seem to die afterwards? Was the vision physical or purely metaphorical?
Wow tough question. Well Zelda game endings always leave juicy and suspenseful questions after. Um my guess on Zant breaking his neck is I think, not sure, but I thought Zant was the one who helped Gannon return back in bodily form and that was Zant cutting the line.
And gannon did not technically die. Remember the triforce is reincarnated everytime again. When gannon was revived the triforce of power was placed back in him. That was why Gannon was still alive. It took the Master Sword to stop him and I guess Zant breaking away from him to get the Trifroce of Power out.
But I don’t even know if that is right or just my take but that was the best ending to a game ever haha. I loved the ending and I guess I need to beat and watch it again to see if I can give a better explanation or figure out if everything I told you is bull haha.
I also agree it’s the best ending eva. And I know Zelda game endings are good because they leave you asking questions, but this one is driving me crazy!! There are so many possible answers to Zant breaking his neck yet no one can prove what the answer is. It’s like answering, “what is the fate of the universe?".

Yes with the video I just posted I watched it again and I really don’t have a solid answer yet. I mean the but I can tell a prediction. Gannon did state that the History of light and shadow will be written in blood which leads into our next game which our next game will lead us into Wind Waker. The next game is most likely going to be very very dark haha. Anything to setup Wind Waker has to be dark. Kinda like the 3rd movie in the 6 Star Wars movies. NO happy ending probably. But that’s my guess.
The split timeline that Gametrailers came up with is genius and I see how TP might fit in on the OOT to Wind Waker side.
Here is the only video I can find that shows the edning cutscene. The only problem is it’s over 30 minutes long because it doesn’t only show the cutscene, it shows the guy beating every Ganondorf all together, so it might take awile until you actually see the cutscene.

.... what kind of law is that.......... omg u died standing up im sueing you! you take guy to court and hes dead standing up with a sword poking out of him, his layer says he has no comment, the court ends and the guy that sued him gets to keep the master sword
