March North American Sales Predictions

Alright I’m going to bring something VGCharts does to this site. We are going to make predictions on what sales some gaming items will get in the month of march for the region of North America. I will post items down below that I feel will be the best sellers and we’ll make predictions. Note this is a lot harder than you seem so put some time into this if you want to get the best results. I’ll post a preliminary list of items we’ll take predictions on but I’ll update as we go along.

How I’ll figure out results is you’ll make a predictions. When actual results come in I will divide your predictions from that of the actual. If the number is over 1 when I divide it then I’ll minus what’s behind the 1 from 1. And then multiply by 100.

So let’s say you predict 100,000 for something and actual sales is 75,000. Then your accuracy for that is 50%. 33.3% for that. Remember with this setup over prediction means a worse score. Cause if your number is 2 when I divide it then you get a 0%.

Alright start predicting. And be smart about it. Also help me out if you know of any big name game that’s releasing in the month of March.

I can’t really make good predictions as i never have before but... i see DS and Wii selling the most... but thats kinda obvious....

Yea I mean you really just can’t come in here and say yea this and this you have to have a good knowledge of the market and sales trends ya know. But I find this quite fun. And I’ll be making my predictions a little later this month. But this is also a shot at all those people who think they know what games are going to sale and blah blah blah. Well prove it here haha.

Yes these are number predictions but I do think PS3 will be in last place out of those on there. Of course Xbox and GC will be behind it. Really it’s if PS3 can outsell GBA which by the way it didn’t do last month. Hell the PSP barely outsold the GBA.

Haha last quarter, Q4 2006, it shipped more units worldwide than the PSP.

Yea hhaa but that was Sony’s fault. They amazingly overshipped the PSP and it just wasn’t saling at all. And retailers in Q4 finally said fuck you we’ve got way too many haha.

Same thing is happening with 360 in Q1 and Q2 2007. They overshipped so many 360’s in Q4 of 2006 that a lot less will be shipped til the end of the fiscal year for MS than as previously predicted.

oh well, still funny as hell to see the 'outdated' GBA outsell the 'powerful and mighty' PSP.

If Wii hits 600,000 in March for NOrth America then I think it might set a record for best saling console ever in the month of March haha. Um I’d say lower but your decision not mine.

Well I’m not going to help you haha. You have until the closing day to make your predictions and can edit them and everything up til then. I think closing date will be April 10th at the latest so take some time and you can make preliminary ones and still update them.

yep this is much harder than most people think haha. Got to have an idea of what’s going on. Random guesses can’t help you now haha.
