Ya know how its been happening where PS3 games tend to keep going multiplatform or even canned for other platforms. Well its happened again. And this time its one of the biggest exclusives PS3 had... in Japan. Monster Hunter 3 has officially been confirmed for Wii. First of all let’s get to the reasoning why. Here’s what Capcom stated:
“Due to high development cost of titles for PS3, we have decided to switch the platform to which we release our Monster Hunter 3 title.” - Katsuhiko Ichii, Capcom’s managing corporate officer
Haha first of all didn’t Sony say that development costs for the PS3 wouldn’t be an issue. Obviously not.
Even further though they make it sound as the PS3 version has been canned completely. Meaning this could become a Wii exclusive in the matter of one single announcement. From the way it sounds, PS3 fans may have to buy a Wii for this precious gem.

It’s something akin to Pokemon if I remember correctly. It’s pretty huge in Japan. Been some of the sole reason why people have bought a PSP there haha.
Its an action RPG that you can play online. You hunt monsters.
Seems like a cool game. I never did play it, but I didn’t have a PS2 when the game was coming out so I sorta forgot about it.
And, I thought that was a screen from the canned PS3 version. If that is truly a Wii screen, damn...Not too shabby on the sun. That and the reflective effects rival what Rouge Squadron had on the GCN.
Sort of a backhanded compliment...But I mean well.

And its looking like this game is going to be Wii exclusive so we may have a killer ap game for Japan here. Not to mention it intrigues me.

Pretty sure its Wii exclusive. After all, there is NO information on a PS3 game, when it was originally announced as one, and the Wii is doing so well in Japan that a series as popular as Monster Hunter needs to be on a popular system.
Then again, RE4 was also GCN “exclusive”.
And yeah, I didn’t notice the video first time around, because I was blind. I’m looking for a higher resolution version.
PS3 is not a bad system. In fact, I support that it is trying to bring a new standard into the computer world by introducing a new CPU architecture, since we use an obsolete one (the x86).
That, and the HD era is closing in. HD-capable televisions are all over the place at reasonable prices, and they’re finally reaching color depth where the CRT’s had an advantage. After all, by 2009, all signals in the US are required to be digital, the first flow into HD where digital rules.
Okay, I digress. But yeah, the PS3 shouldn’t be so downplayed, despite having horrid luck.

Yea Sony fans just try to hard haha. I mean 360 and Wii gamers just won’t the game on the console. Don’t really care exclusive or not. Yet PS3 gamers lose one game and they cry like its no fucking tomorrow haha.
