Most over rated video games ever.

What do you think is the most over rated video game ever? I’d say Halo simply because it’s just a FPS with a gamepad instead of a keyboard.

Um most overrated is probably GTA.

No surprise from the nintendo fanboy side...yes I’d have to agree GTA or possibly Madden due to its lack of any significant upgrades despite being released every year!

yes i agree with u brain. GTA, MGS and halo are all overrated huh? well guess what? metroid prime is VERY overated and so is zelda.

Yes, I think Metroid is often times raised to the status of “legendary” by its fans, but I do not see what makes it better than Halo at all. Also, MGS isn’t very overrated, and neither is Zelda (although I didn’t care for Wind Waker).

No i agree GTA is definitely overrated. Halo and MP not so much. They are both great games, but Halo is much closer to “legendary” status than MP.

What I said that MP and Halo are just as overrated. Got a problem with that haha.

I just think Halo is given too much credit for not offering anything new. Same basic guns, only there’s aliens and a gamepad rather than a keyboard. I think the original Metroid, on the NES and SNES were much better. Halo is just given so much “OMFG HALO IS SEW FUKING AWSOME I BEET IT 44983 TIMES ON LEGENDERY AND GOT A WHOLE BNCH OF OTHER SHIT LAWL IF U DONT LYK HALO UR GAY” and it’s just like every other FPS...

Halo did more with limited arsenal than many FPS games do with double the amount of guns. Furthermore I’ll just point to this article to explain why I believe this game deserves such recognition.

well that is probably the only claim of being overrated on a gaming website. Here is something to see though:

Scroll down to the section titled “reception”

its stupid to argue about this as we will never agree that it is either an overrated or just plain spectacular game. It just comes down to preference.
