This is really amazing when you think about it. Nintendo, a company that only makes video games, surpasses Sony, one of the biggest conglomerates ever in market value.

It’ll last until the Wii hype dies down, which it inevitably will and Nintendo will drop. That’s how the market works unless the company is in to a more stable and practical market such as meat.

The Wii might become another PS2. The DS sure hasn’t showed any signs of dying out, the Wii could end up being the same way in the end. If that happens, they’ll keep on selling. I could point to several analysis that “claim” that the Wii will have sold through almost 50,000,000 by 2010.

That’s huge.

So, according to your argument (the Wii hype), it will go down in 3 years? Lol, by christmas, when the big 3 anticipated games from Nintendo are out, we’ll see how much Sony brings i in comparison to Nintendo.

I never said anything about Sony.

It’s strictly VIDEO GAMES. Video games aren’t the best market to keep your value up. Look at Sony, it’s only hurting them right now.

If you make something everybody needs then you got something.

Well, if you look at monthly sales, and sales to date by this point, it’s the highest selling console ever. Not to mention that it’s beating every console in monthly sales right now, with the exception of the DS.

The PS2 sold so much because it had a large game selection. Everybody wanted to rake in on the PS2, the Wii is the same way. Everybody wants to do a project... granted that most third party games on the Wii suck, but that’s because everybody is trying to do something novelty based. When they quit making games BASED on the Wii Remote and begin making... games... then the Wii will sell more and more.

As long as DS stays strong Nintendo will stay above Sony. Wii doesn’t even have to reach PS2 success. This is all thx to DS. People just dont' give DS enough credit.

Sony’s prices would go down if they’d get rid of all that extra crap. Nobody buys a PS3 just to listen to music.

Hey, i like listening to music on my 360, i’m sure ps3 owners like it on the ps3 too.

But then again, i can listen to my music wherever i go on the 360.... so it adds a nice lil touch to it.
