Over 90% of Japanese Developers Say the PS3 is Too Pricey

Translated by IGN, the latest issue of Japanese mag Ge-Maga polled Japan’s development community on issues regarding Sony’s PlayStation 3.

The key results are as follows:

90.3 percent of the developers feel the PS3 is too pricey.
56.3 percent disagree with Sony’s choice of releasing two SKUs.
55.8 percent feel that the PS3 will not sell with the current lineup of launch titles.
32.5 percent have become less confident in the PS3 platform as a whole.
62.1 percent feel the system will not reach its 6,000,000 sales goal by March of next year.
And just 3.4 percent said they were relieved by Sony’s announcements at E3 2006.

Ok fanboys, why buy a PS3 when you can buy two other systems for the same price? Why? Sony has blueray which is not that good anyways when Microsoft has HD DVD which is more nececary for a next-gen console. Wii has more games to the launch and the Wii has free, wireless, online gameplay when Xbox 360 has Live. Sony bombed E3 and got pwned by Microsoft and Nintendo. Assasins Creed just got moved to both Xbox 360 and Ps3 and so did GTA so why pay for a PS3 when you can get the same game for $400 Xbox 360? Oh and I forgot to mention Halo 3 is for Xbox 360 exclusively. The Wii has evolved the meaning of Next-Gen by building a system where you dont just sit on your ass, you actually get up into the game with the motion sensitive controller so you yourself control whats on the screen instead of a regular controller. Sony has tried to copy Nintendos idea but has failed to make a more impressive controller disign, same as the old controller but with faster command transition than the old one. Same disign, boring. At least Microsoft and Nintendo have actually changed the disign of the controller to make it more comfortable.

why buy a ps3 instead of buying 2 other consoles. becuase theres something the other consoles dont offer u.
ps3 offers u a blu ray player(faster transfer speeds than hd dvd) which is not only used for movies but for games meaning u can have a game where developers arnt put in a box to make a game but ps3 has let the developers free of the box letting them develope to the very max!

wii has a motion controller, ps3 has a motion controller
360 has (curently) the best only service. ps3 will offer the same if not better service for free!
360 comes with a 20 gb hard drive, ps3 comes with a 60 gb hard drive
360 comes with a standard video port which doesnt actually suport uncompressed sound and visuals for hd, ps3 has an hdmi 1.3 port for supreme crisp hd with no compressed sound or picture.

ps3 is worth its small price
