Platinum Selling Video Games

alright the clans are back!!!! Lets revive the game section!

Alright lets start up the PS2.

Alright have added all PS2 titles that shipped 3 million copies or more. Which is about 50 best guess.

But even just looking at only the PS2 titles that sold 3 million or more you can understand why devs kept coming back to the console. With 3rd party, mainly multiplatform games, saling that well it’s obvious you want to put as many titles on here as humanly possible.

So just a question to people here. Yall think any Wii, 360, or PS3 games will sell more than 10 million units or more. 10x platinum hard to do.

And don’t say Wii Sports. That’s obvious haha. Let’s not be a complete ass.

personally on hitting 10 million I’m on the edge about any hitting that. But the only one I think has a chance right now is Super Mario Galaxy.

I’d say maby Wii Play......Halo 3 (mabye) and.....hmmm i don’t think MGS4 or K2 will hit 10 million (K1 didn’t even hit 1 million, and PS3 fan says, “K2 and MGS4 will pwn in sales”, rite...well i don’t think K2 wil ldo so well seeing as K1 didn’t even sell 1 million.)

Well ya got to start thinkign that it has to pretty much come from a series that has already done it before. So first thing I would be thinking is Mario of course which is why Super Mario Galaxy is my only choice.

You would also start thinking GTA but one it’s split up on platforms. And secondly both 360 and PS3 don’t have a huge userbase when this game will release to maybe even give it a chance to do so.

Neither will Super Mario Galaxy when it releases but Wii is growing at such a pace that by the end of 2008 it may already have 40 million units shipped. And Mario titles are known to stay along for a long time.

Halo 3 is a good choice but once again 360 hardware may not have enough sold to give it that chance.

So that’s why right now I’m solely sticking with Super Mario Galaxy. Wii Play and Halo 3 would definetly be the next thing I’d give a chance but not saying going to happen. Not as much as I think Galaxy will do it.

o yeah i forgot about Mario Galaxy and GTA. Also mabye mario Kart? Taht was pretty big if i remmebr correctly.

Mario Kart is pretty big but never had a 10 million seller. Close it came though was 9.87 so it’s got potential.

Anyways I’ll try and work on putting more of the long PS2 list on later. But until then I’m out.

updated Wii game sales.

updated 360 section

updated PS3 title

updated PSP titles

Updated Xbox titles.

Updated PS2 list to all titles that have sold 2 million or more. That puts the list at about half way done.

Also a new feature I’ll add after I get all the consoles sellers in there a series total. So I’ll go and look up all the million sellers in certain series, total them, and we’ll see who has the top 10 best selling series. Only using million sellers right now. I may sooner or later get a little more investigative and figure out ones that didn’t sell a million to up the anny a little bit but that should be a nice addition to see who has the top selling series. We know Mario and Pokemon are 1 and 2 but who’s got the next 8.

Also as soon as I get done with getting all the data up there for individual console platinum titles, would like to even spread out the info across that one game. Such as region sales to even who the developer was.
